¿Tiene SA PS2v2 en el emulador PCSX2? Estoy buscando un estado de guardar creado justo después de presionar dos veces muchos botones. Espero aprender dónde se almacenan las cadenas de trucos para poder crear scripts que respondan a combinaciones de botones similares a los trucos estándar, o tal vez incluso activar trucos con scripts incrustados. Dado que todavía no estoy seguro de lo que estoy buscando, presionar dos veces los botones ayudará a centrarse en la dirección correcta. Algo como;

Arriba, Arriba, Abajo, Abajo, Arriba, Arriba, X, X, Arriba, Arriba, L1, L1, Arriba, Arriba, R2, R2 <crear estado de guardado>

ok bro but I just need the following 1 how to find memory offsets in gta android, and how to learn to use save files from gta android in hxd, I have seen in forums that you talk about it sadly for androidn there is not much to talk about I have spoken to fatsman92 about that as well and he never speaks to me he leaves me alone, I just want a simple guide or at least some examples in cleo or in ida pro, I have created modsz cleo but I do not understand well knowing that pc handles asmx86, and android architecture ARMV7-A-LITTLE-ENDIAN, I just need a guide or something unfortunately comes too late, Alexander blade never seems to respond, Markuza97 either, I just see that you are active bro, I respect and value you are very good at this.

Please bro I have all the programs the games I only need a guide or something, please create a cleo to work with image negative bases of cleo since in android higher than 4.4 it seems you generate negative codes, bro I can be of great help in ps2 I I still play in the gta sa just tell me and I begin to try cleos whatever it is please this roll and theme I am passionate :)

No he podido obtener ese error nuevamente.

bro I actually recommend you download a good free hex editor use HxD EDS FREE AND VERY COMPACT, OR DOWNLOAD EDITOR 010 IS PAYABLE BUT YOU CAN FIND IT FREE PATCHED THE LICENSE IF SOMETHING WILL BE ATTENTIVE :)

"Holed something"

That would be "Holed Up," the name of a Cesar mission cut from beta. I reused that text for integer.decimal in the hud. If the decimal portion was less than .1 you probably would have seen "Impounded," the text reused for integer.0decimal. Not sure how that happened; I tried to prevent it.

Thanks for the detailed description of events before the glitch.

Although I must clarify android handles different spaces and memory address management, I have not seen on PS2 but I think it is different from both since this is saved games using a slost or memory card, although if you do not have a physical you can create a memory virtual card, these are determined depending on the size of Mbytes

I was frustrated by all the recent interruptions so I decided to spend a little time mapping out the PS2 settings in the save file. I enjoy this sort of activity; it reminds me of my early days of learning to hex edit. I found just about everything I was looking for except,

  • Map Legend
  • Radio volume
  • SFX volume
struct tPS2Settings

wow perfect I could not open the files since apache3 seems to generate problems for me in Windows 10, you can share Any saving document for me to open with hex editor, don't get frustrated, bro, I'll be of good help.

Apparently SCM is the same as PC and Android I have not seen in IDA due to lack of Apache3 folders it generates a kind of freeze does not go beyond BUILDING LIST DRIVES

Progress. eCoords seems to be working as expected for English and Spanish on PC.

xrODghPl.jpg

PS2v2eCoords3DB - Previous save updated to support PAL languages other than English.

Metric and Imperial units used for the speed field are determined by the game's IsMetric (not English) detection.

@FF_Sefirot Please test on PAL with various languages. You should be able to switch anytime, like with the menu above already open.

Update: I finally managed to replicate your "Holed Up" glitch with the eCoords3 hud on PC where it's a lot easier to zero in on the problem. The issue appears to be associated with loading an eCoords save first. It looks like the GXT key table is often loaded to a lower-memory location on a new game start, and to a high-memory location when reloading or changing languages. The original data persists in the lower-memory location, so eCoords3 wasn't detecting any problems. eCoords4 includes a new check to see if the TKEYpointer changes - currently testing on PC.

PS2v2eCoords4DB - Updated so avoid Holed Up glitch with wrong text. If you can't break this save then let's update your personal save.

So, in order to try to "break" the save and recreate the glitch what I should do, other than test it normally? Change lenguage, save and reload? Save and reload continuously?

Right now I'm out of home, but tomorrow I'll give it a shot to both saves 👍

Ideally you'll learn to glitch the text semi-reliably with eCoords3 and then fail to glitch using the same strategy on eCoords4. The PC test is not a good analog for the PS2 test as I was running a cleo script; it wasn't embedded in the save. I can't test language changes on NTSC.

Try loading the eCoords3 save first after starting the game, and then switch languages. I usually did this with the food menu open like in the image so I could see the text had changed when I exited the Options menu. That's as far as I got in testing because once it glitched the second time I was ready to dive into memory and figure out what was going on. And then I jumped to adding and testing the fix. There's a reasonably good chance of producing the same results by loading eCoords3 first and then loading it again without changing languages.

You need something like AR-Max, Codebreaker, MCboot or ulaunchELF that can copy the save to your memory card. I only know AR-Max, but would not recommend it unless you already have the software and hardware; it's nearly impossible to find a compatible USB device for AR-Max these days, or to identify which version of AR-Max can support USB.

These saves require San Andreas v2. Modifications to the system are not required, but probably won't hurt. PAL and NTSC will keep their saves in folders with different names but normal save files are compatible between systems, and recent test saves should be also.

Ok, finally I´ve been able to test the saves and try it. Here are my conclusions:

-eCoords3: I´ve done a lot of combinations like: load->save->change lenguage->load again->change lenguage->save->load again, etc, and I didn´t get any glitch. At the end the easiest way to get the "Holed up" text is using a cheat and while the message "Cheat activated" is displayed, change lenguage. However I must say that the glitch is not permanent. After walking a couple of meters the eCoords backs to normal. The first time I get that problem it remained. Even after commiting suicide. I don´t know how or why it was "more" broken.

Anyways I´ve been able to replicate the glitch at my will.

Other than that everything works perfect, from changing lenguage, the scripts, the units displayed in eCoords, etc.

-eCoords4: I´ve been unable to replicate the glitch. I tried everything. But this time not even changing lenguage while a text was displayed have broke the eCoords. The only remarkable observation is that pop-up texts (like the "Cheat activated" or help messages) dissapears immediately if you switch lenguage. In previous versions (or un-modified saves) when you change those message don´t go anywhere, just appear in the new tongue. I wouldn´t say it´s a problem at all, just a slight change.

In the other hand, with "permanent" texts like restaurants menus or when you are doing taxi missions (you get in-screen things like fare, passengers, etc), there´s no problem in switching lenguage. The info displayed just change to the newly selected and there´s no glitch at all.

Once more, other than that, everything works perfect!

Woot! \o/ Thanks for the report.

Please verify specifically that the speed is using metric units only when playing with a non-English language. There were some inconsistencies with the PC version and I just want to make sure I got the good code in the current save.

55 minutes ago, FF_Sefirot said:

I don´t know how or why it was "more" broken.

There were some improvements made to eCoords3 designed to reduce the likelyhood of a Holed Up glitch. For eCoords2 I was only verifying that one new pointer was modified correctly. In eCoords3 I checked both new pointers and verified their hashes were correct, so I was quite baffled when the glitch appeared on PC. eCoords4 added a check for a changed pointer to TKEY.

A major upgrade to eCoords3 was the script will now search through the TKEY table to find the expected hash instead for relying on constant offsets that I need to hunt down and calculate for each new string. This was the upgrade that enables language compatibility.

A feature I did not implement was breaking the gxt handling out to an independent script so new text would be easier to add to other scripts. I couldn't quite wrap my mind around the big picture without having the current intermediary step. I think I know how to do it now, but it's not needed for the current script set. I'd like to implement the strategy as part of to documenting the whole process. I should be able to test this change myself but your observations are always helpful.

But there's not much point in implementing the new strategy in your good save until more scripts that need text are created, and that's not likely to happen soon. If you post a link to a save I'll begin modifications and you can get down to some more serious testing.

Also, if you are interested, I was planning on adding the embedded scripts to the non-debug version of the Chain Game save for PS2. A thorough test would include playing through the story, and you could play around with some of the new CG features while your at it. That's a pretty long test, but there's no hurry, and incomplete results would still improve confidence significantly.

One thing I'm not terribly happy with is the on-foot speed display. The values jump around so much during the animation cycle that I can't get a good sense of CJ's actual sprint speed. I feel the need to somehow average the speed of each step but I don't understand animation well enough to design a good estimate.

That's my save.

Yes, the speed is displayed in km/h in PAL version (in all the lenguages) and mph in NTSC.

About the chain save of a non-debug, what version is it?

I mean, I've seen modifications in the saves with the scrips, like other vehicles parked, etc.

Whoops. I was afraid of that. This version was suppose to use metric for non-English only. For your good save, would you prefer the Is Metric evaluation like I intended or Is PAL like it is in the current test save?

When we first started I linked to a mod page with two CG4PS2 starter saves, saves designed to test save editing strategies as we explored the save structure. One version includes a debug (DB) setup with more stuff unlocked for testing, the other version is intended as a starter save that can be played to 100%. I've been modifying the debug version for these tests. I want to add these new scripts to those saves as an update to the mod. I was hoping to interest you in playing through some of the story as a more complete test of the new tools. (It's not a request; don't feel obliged.)

Okay, I've got a lot of chores to get out of the way first, and then I'll start updating the saves.

Thanks again for the reports.

Is PAL is ok, I'm not familiar with mph anyways.

About playing the whole story in a debug save...Actually I tought that it would be cool to play thru one of those saves from the beginning, I like all the modifications and with the new scrips sure will be fun.

So yeah, count with me. I don't know how much time it will take me, and sure I won't aim for the 100% completion, but I'll do it with pleasure!

Well, I can't see how the evaluation can fail, and the only place without a familiar metric system would be Canada. Still, it just seems proper to use the same detection used by the High Jump script. The better option would be to add some sort of toggle to force metric or imperial when desired.

Actually, this might be a good use for a new input strategy I've been researching. The strategy of using button combos like L2+Up is working well, but we'll quickly run out of good combos to use. I'd like to be able to implement custom cheat combos, 7 buttons entered in sequence like a standard cheat. I know how to do this on PC but have yet to discover the address of the cheat string buffer on PS2. I'm not even sure what "keys" I'm looking for yet.

Grammar notes (sorry): I've been trying to model the English spelling for language as best I can, but I'm not sure how to work "count me in" into a casual conversation. The expression "count me in" means you want to be part of the group. A similar expression, "count on me" means I can rely on you to... complete a task or something. "Count with me" would be literal; a learning activity for young children, for example. Otherwise, btw, your English has been pretty much spot on.

Hahaha! Thanks for the corrections! Now I realize that I've been writing all the time "lenguage" instead of "language". My bad! Also the "count with me" is a common fail because in spanish we would use the same expression to say "count (numbers) with me" or "count (for that mission) me in" or "count (to keep that secret) on me". No difference in spanish, just the context.

PS2v2GoodSave - Your good save with the current script set copied directly from the latest test save, so you should get your preferred units when playing on PAL.

Sorry it too so long to complete. The port was pretty easy but it was a busy day. I'm glad it worked the first time because I'm too bleary-eyed to fix it tonight. Minimal testing; it loaded and did all the things - good enough for tonight.

@FF_Sefirot Enjoy

I currently use the opl, installed on my memory card I use freemcboot and unlaunchELF I will download GTA SA v2 if you have any specific game link please share thank you, I will try things bro Do you have WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter or any network where you speak please I have interesting things

This was a flippant response because I am very annoyed by your constant interruptions with off-topic comments and translated quotes cluttering the page. This topic contains valuable information that I need to reference. Please stop interrupting.

This is not a good way to start a friendship.

Final warning. Do not reply.

If you continue to post off-topic I will ignore all of you comments and file a report with the forum moderators. If the moderators find that you have violated forum policy then you risk censure and possibly a temporary ban.

I have repeated asked you to create a new topic for your ideas and questions, but you have not followed instructions. In my opinion, trying to help someone that does not follow instruction is pointless.

If you create a new topic and I find the topic interesting then I might respond. However, right now I'm still annoyed so don't expect a quick reply.

Social media is not an option.

No responder.

I must clarify something, first when I created my account in gtasaforums they never told me what was wrong or the good, sanctions I have not been bad I have never insulted I do not understand what you are talking about, excuse me I had commented that I had the work tools never responded, seems to reject it, Besides that it is useful to create a new topic if many ignore it, I know that you are good at your job, but it is not the only one there are many better And besides, kind-hearted people who help don't want to be the best, even though they are.I know you ignored this message, but I do not understand why, and also if they remove me from the forum I will have to look well because they removed me if I have not done anything wrong. What is the use of having everything, if nobody teaches, what a shame that in this world good people are dying pitifully I thought you were good but I think I was wrong I wish you the best yep I always admire him very much. And if I made comments off the topic it is because I saw that they were not telling me anything when I said about my tools, I hope I have not damaged any forum rule even knowing there is nothing wrong with having to ask, I don't think one ever He was born learned happy night or day in his countries.

CG4PS2v2Embed1
CG4PS2v2Embed1DB

@FF_Sefirot  Just for you. I'm trying to improve my strategies of copying the modifications to another save and started with what we already had working. The debug save above is a renamed version of eCoords4, and shouldn't need specific testing. Embed1 is the starter save for you to play story mode. The delay before the scripts start first running is slightly longer, but otherwise the scripts are identical -- which means you should still have your preferred metric units whenever playing on PAL.

As I make more progress on documenting the embedding process I'll probably update the scripts a little and put the Is_Metric detection in place then, but no harm in putting this version out in the meantime. I'm enthusiastic about this new strategy. It seems simple enough that someone with limited hex editing skills can get it right using a free editor like HxD. Steps:

  1. Change the size of the variable space to load.
  2. Change the size of the variable space to save.
  3. Change the number of running scripts.
  4. Insert supplied running script block.
  5. Insert supplied varspace block with scripts included.
  6. Trim file to proper length.
  7. Fix checksum.

With the exception of the running script block, all modifications are at a fixed offset, and the end of the running script block is still really easy to find. Just search for the third "BLOCK" marker and insert before that.

What's the difference between Embed1 and Embed1DB?

I'll start today!

I've been heavy testing my good save and everything seems to work almost perfect. In a certain moment after a chain of events (using scripts, cheats, etc) the name of the different weathers were not displayed when changing (however the climate changed, so it was only the display that failed). I e-saved and reloaded and it was fixed. (I didn't change the language in any moment, I kept English).

Apart from that nothing remarkable. I'll keep playing. By the way the save works fine in Ps3!

The primary difference is that Embed1DB is a DeBug save with all cities unlocked to make testing easier. However, unlocking the cities early disables the LS1 phone call script, so CJ won't get calls from Cesar or Tenpenny so you can't progress out of the early mission strand. The save is included with the package to allow players to explore some of the new features. Besides unlocking the cities... I don't remember exactly, it's been a very long time since I worked on these save. Hopefully I included good notes in the mod pages.

All of the new rewards vehicles should be unhidden. Stats are probably boosted. Most properties are available for sale. Garage might be unlocked without purchase since we hid some special vehicles inside.

BTW, be sure to check out the El Corona garage for the first time when you aren't anxious to save - just in case. Don't do mission races (Lowrider, Badlands A, Badlands B) without completing the race in the mission first or you'll lose the big payout from completing the final race. Also, some of the interiors "warp" to destinations in other cities. There are Armory locations scattered around the map, like the 24/7 north of the LS Transfender. Several garages have had their roofs raised to allow vehicle and aircraft to be parked on the roof. If you see a vehicle parked underwater it can be collected by swimming down to it. Missions that unlock vehicles will unlock new vehicles in useful locations so they're worth completing early; the original vehicles are already unlocked.

About the weather names. Those use normal game text. I'm not sure how they could be disabled without out of range weather settings. If you keep on increasing the weather just keeps getting weirder until it finally crashes. I'll revisiting the script and look for possible errors.
