Cant log in to game HELP

Hi! Ive had problem logging in to red dead online, in fact cant log in at all. Today i logged in with a friends account on my pc and it worked without problem, i noticed her settings for graphic was lower then mine. My question is can i change my graphics setting without logging in to game? Or make them default? If this not work, my account must in a way be bugged in rockstar servers and shes not!

I don't know what you've tried prior, but here's what may or may not work. Go to:

C:\Users\<UserName>\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings

Open the system.xml file and find the corresponding values, then change them to your liking. I suggest doing some research if you don't know what does what. You can reset the settings by deleting the file or modify the values that matches default ones if you know them. Still, I recommend deleting it. But be warned, if the resolution is set to anything other than your native resolution, you may face your desktop windows being resized and out of place once you start the game, as it may set a non-native resolution.

 

I know you're saying you can't login. But if you can start Rockstar Games Launcher and go to Settings > Account Information and Delete local profile it could be an option. Deletion should only be used as a last resort if there are no other solutions, but it shouldn't hurt to try anyway. If you have a dynamic IP configuration, try rebooting your router to make it assign a new address, then try login again. Also, check your firewall and see if anything is blocking. Especially also check if there's a process in the background that prevents it, you never know.

Your graphics shouldn't have anything to do with logging into the launcher. What those can do is allow the game to start but then once you're in the game it will give you a white screen and and error which will close the game.

 

Were you able to log into social club?

 

I've discussed this problem with you before. You said you've been able to log in sometimes and other times you haven't. Did you check with your service provider as I suggested before? It may have something to do with your home internet or router.

 

You can also delete the launcher and reinstall it. If you don't have the most recent one it won't let you log in. I was under the impression it was supposed to automatically update but I did have one occassion when I had to do it manually.

Thx for info! I can log into social club and the game launcher as normal and choose free roam as usual. On my friends account i log in to game without any problem on my pc, on my own account error message 30005001 comes up every time and i can never log in to online. 

Only diffrence i know about is that on my friends account graphic setting are set lower. So my pc is not the problem, why are rockstar not letting me in to game?

Now i have proof, its not about grapic settings its about rockstars servers, they are blocking me from get into game but not my friends account. I can say that Iam not banned if you think so :), have been in contact with rockstar support many times last week. So why in the heck dont their servers let me in with a 30005001 error everytime but on her account they let her in everytime? Will ask Rockstar that question now! Thx for replying to me :)

Keep in mind, support people are not employees of Rockstar. Support is outsourced. They are given a list of responses to give to users (which is why people get the same response, word for word, from them) and report any problems to Rockstar. I doubt they would know if you're banned since Rockstar probably does not give them a list of banned players.

Hackers can. They can do something then make it look like someone else did it. Everyone then reports the innocent person and that person gets banned. That's what they do when they pull everyone in a server to one location then blow them up or set them on fire.

 

Hackers can also place "illegal" treasure boxes in the game then when a player collects the treasure the hacker reports them for cheating.

 

Unfortunately, the few people I know that got banned for hacker actions were not able to get the ban removed. I haven't spoken with them recently to see if they have been reinstated.

 

If people see a hacker in the server, they need to get out of there. Not all things hackers do are harmless.

But when this started i could log in last friday in the morning and the evenning, on saturday i mange to log in after many atempts one time, since then ive not been able to log in at all. If i was banned that would not be possible i think. Who should i contact on rockstar to get this fixed?

There is no one to contact other than support. All they will do is send you copy and paste messages like "We understand your problem logging in. Try clearing your cache.......blah, blah, blah." Or, "We're aware of the problem and are working on it." The same messages they send to everyone.

 

It sounds like it's your internet but I don't know why you can log in under someone else's account from the same place you can't log in to your account. That makes no sense. 

 

I can guarantee it isn't your graphics. That has nothing to do with logging in.

 

Did you contact your internet provider?

There are only 2 other reasons I can think of for the problem. Someone changed your password or they are playing the game using your account.

 

Otherwise, I am out of ideas. Something is wrong with your account. All you can do is keep talking with support, but good luck with that.

You can try open your NAT if it is restricted. If you can't find a way to unrestrict it within your router configuration page, then you're going to need to contact your ISP and ask them if they can change the NAT Type to Open. Also, consider opening your ports for other multiplayer games as well if you encounter problems with those. Right now, Red Dead Online isn't worth it. The methods the hackers are using are totally game-destructive problems. In no way these should exist. I recommend even staying away from both GTA Online and Red Dead Online and consider getting singleplayer working if you can run them. SP is thankfully at least safe. Not saying you are strictly forced to play SP, but if you really do want to play Online, just be aware and careful and don't trust anyone immediately.

Yup. Hackers have pretty much forced me to play the game only long enough to do a few dailies.

I can recall second last time i played messages came up to the right down in screen, sayin like, rockstar message in green text, it came many times, maybe some aswell last time i was able to log in to game! Have open one ticket more, hope get answer from rockstar if iam banned or not. Can i get my money back, and the money I bougt gold for?

Those "Rockstar" messages are a hacker starting to drain your money at a faster pace. Next time check your stable and camp fees and you'll see that they are higher than they should be and also being taken out a lot faster than normal.

You're welcome. Glad to hear your NAT's fine. I hate saying this, but Rockstar Games may not be refund-friendly as of late. You may be able to get a refund from the edition you purchased if they can be reasoned with at all, but not sure about the gold you bought later on. You have to ask them about that.

Red Dead Online requires the following ports to be open:

  • Port 6672 (UDP)
  • Port 61455 (UDP)
  • Port 61457 (UDP)

  • Port 61458 (UDP)

Reset Your Network Router

You can reset your router by unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for about 10 minutes. Restart the game client and check to see if your issue is resolved.

Additional Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and see if they are experiencing any issues connecting to us, or if they have any temporary outages.
  2. Make sure your router’s firmware is up-to-date (check with your ISP)
  3. Enable or disable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) on your router or system settings
  4. Check to see if you have any VPN software running in the background when trying to play the game.

Consider temporarily disabling any firewalls, anti-virus, or network filtering that may be affecting the game.

As StyxTx said earlier, the people inside support aren't necessarily unwilling to help, they just aren't aware of the issue that many are aware of. I know this is silly, honestly, but the result of people knowing different things is what you're seeing here. It's frustrating that it doesn't get addressed. But what the support guy did ask you if you opened your ports which me and StyxTx suggested and asked if you tried doing that, but I don't know if you saw our questions. So pardon me for asking again, have you tried opening the ports?

 

Besides opening ports, best thing you can do is keep changing your router settings and try different things. You can also search on the internet to see if anyone else has or had a similar issue like you.

I have tried that yes before, but then i logged in with my friends account and it worked right away, so I guess my pc is fine and my router too, but rockstars servers dont let my account in to play. Nobody in support have yet answered that question. why my account dont log in.
