Is gta online safe to play on linux using steam proton

So i just installed debian because i got tired of the slowness of windows 10, and i really want to play gta online. I've geard that some people got banned for using steam proton because its using some alternative for directx, and some anti cheat systems may think that you are hacking. Is rockstar anti cheat this advanced?
