Yo, you need openiv anyways to mod IV. How is it confusing?

Anyone else having the issue of the game still receiving keyboard inputs even when the game are unfocused?

it happens when the game are in windowed mode (With or without "BorderlessWindowed" enabled) and "DoNotPauseOnMinimize" is enabled or by using "-noblockonlostfocus". I did everything i could think off, i even tried using DXWrapper but sadly, the option that do exactly what i was going for ("FilterNonActiveInput"), doesn't work... it is not the end of the world but would be so cool if i could get rid of this bug, i'm too accustomed with alt-tabbing during loadings man XD :/

I don't know if this is out of scope for you, but I figured that I should document it here.

Whenever you run the game on Linux under Proton/Wine with Borderless mode on, the window wont draw over the taskbar/panel and will instead be pushed next to it (depending on the position of your panel).

Changing the resolution in-game and then changing back to the native resolution solves the issue for the rest of the game session, but doing this every time you boot the game is a minor annoyance.

I have tested this with other Desktop Environments as well and they all share the same behavior seen here on KDE Plasma. (Namely XFCE and MATE, all running very similar setup with a panel placed to the left of the screen)

Yes, most prominent example is at the final level of the story where you have to rapidly tap the spacebar to climb on board the Annihilator, but because the framerate is too high; you're unable to climb onboard thus making the mission impossible to complete.

Heyo, there is one bug that has been annoying me for a long time that I would love to be fixed in the ZolkiaPatch! Whenever you die, the death camera decides to just lock itself to Niko's body. You can move it around, but it will always return to his body. Here is a video to demonstrate,

That's not a bug, that's just how the camera behaves during the death screen.

I recall this not being the case in some other versions of the game. I don't know if it is because I have a controller plugged in or whatever it's being caused by. I should mention that I'm running 1.0.4.0

The death cam just behaves like that in the console versions and PC 1.0.4.0 (or older). If you upgrade to 1.0.7.0 or 1.0.8.0 the death cam won't lock on to Niko anymore.

Source: I run 1.0.7.0 on my main machine and 1.0.4.0 on my weaker machines

its not really a bug, thats how it is on console versions/older patches and when you have a controller connected to your pc playing gta 4

IDK why but the Game just refuses to run whenever I drop in ZolikaPatch into the game directory. At first I thought it's conflicting with ColAccel or FusionFix or something but I already removed every single mod/ASI keeping only ZolikaPatch and it STILL won't run. 

Anybody else experienced this when first downgrading and how was it resolved? It's been a while since I modded IV and I'm kinda at a loss here

 

Other notes:

-I used this Automatic Downgrader to get 1.0.7.0

-It has XLiveless, one which came from the Downgrader. I then tried manually downloading the latest version

-Ran the game WITH and WITHOUT mods

-SkipIntro doesn't seem to work in this instance - it still plays the whole intro, just with a black screen and the jingle playing in the background. And then the game crashes

It's probably something related to LaunchWithPlayGTAIV setting or something, dunno

Also, RemoveUselessChecks needs to be 0 if using FusionFix

You can't use the Rockstar Games Launcher with this patch as it's explicitly mentioned by the author of this mod on the first page that it doesn't work with the Steam/RGL version.

When FastLoading=1 and scripthookdotnet.asi is in my GTA 4 directory, the game will crash when trying to load a save. I'm running 1.0.7.0 on Steam.

Also I'm not sure why CarDynamicShadowFix is enabled by default. The game, whether from back when you could download 1.0.7.0 straight from Steam or the new CE edition has headlight shadows enabled w/ night shadows.

Automatically disabling them made me think the IV downgrader did something wrong when it turned out to be a setting in this patch.

It does work on GTA IV patch 7 but not sure about standalone EFLC, any help would be appreciated.

 

Also use old version of xliveless other then the xliveless addon, it right here on forums, search function will help.
