The trial of former acting consigliere of the Pegorino Crime Family Phil 'St Patrick' Bell had its most dramatic day so far with government witness Frankie Gallo taking the stand.

 

Bell aswell as his associates are looking at 20 years if found guilty of the manufacturer and distribution of counterfeit medicines.

 

Frankie Gallo was questioned by case prosecutor ADA Downes. He started by asking Mr Gallo how he knew Mr Bell.

 

"He's my uncle and also my boss, for as long as I can remember he's been there, looking out for me, I don't want to be here, I love the man but sh*t went down the way it did and here we are"

 

When asked how the operation started Mr Gallo proved to be the prosecution's ace in the hole, leaving no rock unturned.

 

"I guess it all goes back to 2008, that was a crazy year, The Peg (Jimmy 'Peg' Pegorino) became obsessed with getting on the commission and getting the same level of respect as the five families. We f*cked with the Ancelottis, whacked their underboss, two of their capos, kidnapped Old Man Ancelotti's daughter, we went to the mattresses with the Pavanos, whacked their whole north Alderney crew. Weren't just a capo we clipped there either, we're talking about the boss of the Pavano Alderney faction. We had rats, we had members and associates getting whacked all the time, 2008 was a crazy year for all the families, for me too, I got married, my ma got sick, my sister went to college. When the Peg got clipped and Phil did a runner the remains of the family got absorbed into the Pavanos. Some wise guys saw it as a promotion, I mean they were the second most important family in the country so it was like getting straightened out for a second time but this time into one of the five families. There were a few guys, moustache Pete's who wouldn't go across, they kept the Pegorinos going but at that point they weren't a family, just a crew, like 7 made guys and maybe 100 associates but they were mainly people in the legit world not trigger men, their muscle had been wiped out. Me I went with the Pavanos, I was in the Lockowski Avenue crew, the new one. The old one having been whacked by Jimmy P at a sit down in Auto Erotica. The crew was made up of some Pavano misfits from other crews and ex Pegorinos, our caporegime was Vincenzo 'Big Vinny' Mossetti, I never really dealed with him myself tho I kicked up to Benny Eggs (Benjamin Capri) a soldato like me but basically the number two guy in Alderny City, the bosses right hand. At that time I was kicking up juice by boosting cars, taking down armoured trucks and moving a little H, not much, id get an ounce of Little Jimmy Salvini (one of the 9 defendants in this case) cut it up to make 5 and whack it out to street crews, mainly the Spanish Lords, sometimes the Korean mob, I was doing pretty good but I was working 18 hour days and I got a new wife at home, marone."

 

"About a month after that my uncle called me told me he wanted to meet somewhere where we wouldn't be seen and this was a hush hush kinda thing. So we met in the AIC (Acter Industrial Park) I parked up next to him got in his car. He scanned me for bugs which was insulting but I figured the guy's been lambing it for a month, reading about his former friends going states or getting whacked so I didn't say too much. So Phil tells me he took over a small pharmaceutical company in buttf*ck nowhere and could make percs and xans as good if not better than the legit sh*t and the production costs were low so he was gonna be setting up a national pipeline and he wanted me to take care of Alderney and Liberty City. That was the start of the good times, I had Little Jimmy covering Dukes and Broker, he was an associate on record with the Messinas, he was part of the Cervaza Heights crew but dealed all over Dukes and Broker. Up in Bohan we had Louie 'Manana' Mangala, he was with the Lupisellas, had been a wholesaler for years, pretty much sold dark to every gang in Bohan and he sold just as much of my uncle's sh*t too. 
Even when the Pavanos and Lupisellas went to war in 2017 and I spent most of my time guarding capos I was still getting a slice from Little Jimmy and he was bringing in a hundred large a month. Then it all went to hell, a capo in another family was doing his own daily broadcast for the feds and got me and Jimmy on tape. I took the deal cos I uh love America, I wanted to go straight and help fight crime and all that.
Mr Gallo wiped a tear from his eye as he left the stand, no doubt moved by his love for the greatest country on earth.
