It will be interesting to see if the files are actually different or not, I'm going to install it shortly to check. Is that version.txt file a red herring? As looking at the exe itself it actually shows the version I edited above. The version of the exe is what I believe Scripthook checks against to make sure it is running a compatible version. So it's not a red herring as such, it just only contains as much info as the typical user needs to know about. If there were no mods, that would be the only number we would ever see. Aquaphobic Posted May 15, 2020 Share Posted May 15, 2020 Personally I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling the game from the EGS launcher, this time without auto-update ticked and I won't update it when its requesting one. I had to delete the dinput8 in order to get the game running since it doesn't work with the GTA HookV current version. For example Scripthook, just follow the same instructions and replace the files in my GTA V folder but launch GTA V thru FiveM and it’ll work?
