Son Of Big Boss

Woah. I always thought the club and the sentinel had the same sound but in a different pitch. Theres a lot of difference between a Mercedes and a Mustang

I always thought Bravura and Comet sounds the same, this wipes out my curiosity! I can finally die in peace.

Apprently the GENRL sound archive does not support sample rates higher than 18000 Hz?
I tried to snuck in some 192 KHz copies of the sounds above into the game.

(with some editing and syncing to matchthe original sound, of course)
The sounds ended sounding very low pitch, even much lower than the usual "slow-motion" mode sound.

mate, 192 KHz is extremely high sample rate, none game has so high values, sa has some limits when it comes to sample rates, I recommend to make vehicles sounds in 38khz, any above will result being broken in game. And don't waste your time making these sounds into the game because I'm already working on such a pack which doesn't include just vehicles.

Oh okay. Thanks for the answer. So, SA had limits on sample rates. I wonder if it could addressed on any limit adjuster but that defeats the point.

No, 38khz vehicles sounds don't have any issues except for idle sound which has 28khz limit.

You can make uncompressed vcs sounds here. 
While some sounds are the same as gta vice city and gta san andreas, they also contain different sounds.

Also you can make beta sounds from gta games.

San andreas has a lot of beta sounds.

You can make vice city beta weapon sounds:

Me too, a lot of these sounds were kind of sounding artificial.

Anyway, mind If I document these sounds into YouTube? I felt like if this information spread more, it could be good.

haha same :D Damn GTA: SA is nothing more than a big library of Westar Music sound effects and music. 

I was amazed how someone found the original driving school soundtrack on Westar and now we have all of the SFX .. nice :D

 

So this is why i sometimes got to hear CJ's footstep sounds in other games, i always thought they just literally stole the sound files but it's from the same website 😛
