I think that it's only a waste of time this remaster... I hope that will be included for all owners of original release (that i hope will not removed); i don't want to buy it...

There was recently a 3 gig patch for Mafia II Remaster, but from watching gtamen's stream there is no improvements lmao, there is still frame rate drops broken audio, bunch of bugs.

10/10 best remaster ever made in history.

I hope that will fix many of bugs

A patch isn't free since we pay for internet bandwidth.

Did they add free ride Mode?

No, there is no cut content in this version which is a disappointment

That's like saying air isn't free because you pay for food to stay alive so you can breathe it. Technically true, but it's a huge stretch.

In the remaster, Vito tries to do his sexy face.

Imagine if Hangar 13 break Mafia 2's functional mirrors? Game of the Year.  😄

I think (or hope) that a lot of the original developers behind Mafia 3 were laid off or sent to other studios. I really hope they don't mess this up.

What's this analogy, really? 😆

Day-one patches are clearly the result of the publisher rushing to release a product before making sure that at least the basics are perfectly functioning. One reason they do this, is to maximize the product's sales for a certain quarter, because they're not willing to wait more and release it at the middle or end of it, so they're chasing revenue at the expense of the player. Players have also turned into free game testers for the publishers, so why hire more game testers if they can release a choppy product and let the players test it and report the bugs to them?

3 new screenshots of the first game? If so where are they? I don't think I have seen them yet.

Eh I mean I didn't expect them to add in bikes. Or even expand Lost Haven. (which they mentioned on the site)

It's also based on Chicago since Lost Haven is in Illinois.

EDIT: They'll show some gameplay at the PC Gaming Show on June 6, and there's weapon skins too? Hmm. (There's a pre order golden weapon skin for the "Semi-Automatic Pistol".)

Bikes? Holy I think someone is really eager to ruin the game's vibes.

I was excited a week ago ya'know. But after a week, realizing that hangar 13 is responsible for this remake, I am getting a little worried. I hope I'm wrong.

Right, the last thing that really comes to mind is Tommy riding a harley davidson. Though I'm curious to know if we'll see some biker gang around in this version. I'd like to see how bikes are gonna work though. I'll fully judge when gameplay comes around in June.

It's actually their Czech branch handling it and supposedly they have a few people who worked on the original Mafia. But now I am doubtful. I think they really are going to try to make it wacky so they can sell it because most gamers wouldn't appreciate a linear, story driven game.

Take Two should give the Mafia series to Rockstar, to show Hangar 13 and 2k how it can be done right.

If Take Two didn't hurry Vávra things would have been sweet cuz we would have gotten a perfect Mafia 2 and they could have worked on a good Mafia 3. I think the franchise is lost at this point and they are just trying to cash in on the nostalgia.

Yea with you on that one. Wonder if they will take out the race entirely with freeride extreme. Give Sergio and Sam a pistol while they are at it.

i feel like if they didnt expand the map it would be a waste of their resources. its like if they remade vice city and only updated the original vice city ps2 map

I really don't understand how including bikes is a bad thing. Motorcycles existed since 1903 or so, if they weren't in the original game it surely was because of some sort of limitation, like in GTA 3. They are a must have now.

EDIT - I found this, bikes were indeed meant to be in the original game, but were cut and left in the files. So bringing them back now is not against the game's original vision.

Did you see the frightened ones? Did you hear the falling bombs? Did you ever wonder...

...why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?

Doesn't necessarily mean it was meant to be in the game. A biker gang just doesn't fit in the 30s in my opinion.
