Or about other giant useless turd like the Yacht?

Ok, maybe they are cool places to hang around for like... the first day, but then?

Who really go on the yacht anymore without doing piracy prevention? No one, becouse there is nothing to do.

And who plays GTA for playing tennis or other minigames? Even the casino is not as populated as the first weeks.

Owning pets can be a thing but... its not enough for an update, maybe as a partner dog in a cops and crooks update would be perfect, but otherways who really care?

IMHO what people really wants in a game thats, objectively, is going to die (come on, i'm sure i'm not the only one thats is bored about wandering in the same, identical map we had in 2013) is either a map expansion (will never happen) or a massive gameplay-centered update, like story driven planned heists or completely new game mode like cops and crooks or maybe other similar ideas, dunno. No more "here some car for u, enjoy exploring the city with them", "try these new races with supercars", "oh look, a new superfast jet", "look, gerald need some help killing some goons, go there and do it" (not even counting that 90% of new assets are going to be annhilated by MK2s moments after getting out of garages). And new buisnesses? God pls stop this boring madness. Like i said, we already know every inch of S.A. we don't need anymore to explore it, let alone in an old ass van, chased by terminator NPC and MK2s, for 450194 times until the next update.

We need new things to do, exciting things to do, not only new things to buy, i don't want to buy cars just for them to rot in garages waiting for me to play the games.

I want to log in and say "ok, now i will take my new car and going to progress in xxxxx" for at least a week or 2 before going back to wander the city in passive, start deathmatching for an hour and shutting up the game for like a month.

The RDO moonshine update did it well I think. A decent little story with interesting missions, alongside the long-term personal goal of building the business from the ground up. Even the nightclub update wasn't half bad. But it does feel like a lot of the updates are just spending all the money I've saved up in 20 minutes, playing the game with friends for a couple weeks, then taking a break until I'm ready to grind again.

there’s actually a whole niche of players that play GTA just for these things. just for the sake of style and having some good time with friends: visiting casino, playing tennis and golf, parachuting and racing in classic vehicles around GP-styled tracks. the community of gta is very diverse.

With all the due respect, but if i want to play sports or some game of poker with my friends i can go to a real life field or a real life casino (or even privately/without money at my home) without the need of waiting for an update... Races were cool, i know, but after 7 years i feel like i had enough of them, i want something really new or something with an interesting story that make me want to progress (GTA 6 inner desire? Maybe). Arena war was a very interesting idea for example, i'm still angry that they managed to turn it in a glorified adversary mode and to make it completely unrewarding for the players.

So long as they keep adding cars and storage, I'm happy to just drive about out there until a new GTA comes. And the more side activities they add, the better for me. I've made a healthy stash and own plenty so I'm all for a more indulgent DLC full of things like bowling or pool and more, new arcade machines would be a peach too.

Well if they do it right it can be really useful and fun (unlike the yacht) they could have done way more to the yacht to make it useful and more entertaining.  I’m with you tho, I want something really different.  Kinda like the casino was a whole lot different than all the other DLC’s and felt really fresh getting on it.  Screw races and screw more heists.

Oh well, weird way to kill time but everyone has his own weirdness during free time i guess. I prefer to move out to other games or hobbies personally, i feel like im wasting time just wandering around in a map that already told me everything, even more considering that in online mode there arent casual events you can encounter. Here another idea for a dlc, insert casual events, like the ones in story mode, in online.

You speak as if I only play GTA all the time, lol. I enjoy what I enjoy and mix it up plenty. The casual events similar to story mode would be a cool addition though.

 

I just mean the game has offered me plenty over the years and I'm more ready for a new GTA, but I'll get what I can from this as and when I doodle about too. I Don't necessarily need money making modes, although I'm not against any potential DLC theme, but if we get more fun activities to mess about in while I chat sh*t or meet new fun gamers, it's all good for me.

Thought i'd share my small money method. 

In Private online sessions, what i now do is the Terrorbyte client jobs. (Diamond Shopping, Targeted Data and Robbery in Progress). In between each cool down, i do a VIP Mission (Sightseer and Hostile Takeover) 

VIP pays out 15 - 20k 
TCJ pays out 32k 

Best to use the MKll Oppressor for the getaways. It's also to make them go quicker as well. 

If any know other good ways of making money in particularly private sessions, let me know.

IMAGINE, if Ill Gotten Gains 3 being a Mansions update as well as something else alongside them, had Roman Bellic as the real estator who sells us the mansion, and JUST for kicks, they add in a Bowling Alley as a purchasable extra... the biggest dilemma anyone could ever face in GTA Online.

- don't go bowling just so people's blurred memories of constantly getting called to go bowling in GTA4 become a horrifying reality in GTA Online

- buy the bowling alley but forever lose Roman calling you about buying a bowling alley

If VI actually is in Vice City, Roman DEFINITELY needs to show up in either Online or SP. He wanted to live there so he would actually make sense rather than certain characters showing up *looks at Brucie and Tony* Brucie was cut from SP though so I can't really fault him
