There are 3 buyers; low end, medium and high end (professional/s)

 

It looks like canonically the characters went with the professionals and the buyers met this end

I don't know, if it were the buyers, why wouldn't they just use the character models of the buyers? I think this guy is chosen because he could pass as "washed up".

Never thought of that. That’s perfectly plausible, but that wouldn’t explain the cowboy boots. It can be chalked up to laziness and recycling the dead body, but the boots still make me think more of the Duggans than the buyers.
