The finale repeat glitch goes all the way back to the first console release, a few months before the re-release they started doing 2x on heists & a lot of people started reporting 'bugs' with these tricks & seeing 'verifying' messages at the end of heist finales, then when the re-release happend, most of them got wiped or banned. Then to top it off when it first landed the re-release actually fixed the glitch, you'd end up with no pay and no more finale, but then somehow (constant rotation/replacement of developers) one of the DLC's re-introduced it (to different extend on different platforms) about a year ago these 'verifying' messages started popping up again on consoles (weirdly enough not on PC) but so far no action has been taken.

I guess it was after the re-release then..

Its safe to assume they are able to see this glitch since it got re-introduced, and maybe they've always been able to see it (each job you play gets a unique id, they can just look at your recently played job id's and see that you've played a job multiple times but its unclear if this has always been the case) and considering they obviously dont like these sort of things, its also safe to assume they are going to attempt to patch the glitch again, if they cant (messy code etc) at the very least they will wipe the accounts that they catch doing this. And this 'heist challenge' means everybody is eager to play heists, so a certain group of people is also eager to do use this glitch 'to speed things up', hence, they are baiting people again, like they did at the time with the double pay/xp. This is the same idea, but without having to give people 2x.

I'll admit to ignorance on such. Well, not so much ignorance as overlooking the exchange of money in such a deal. I'm too used to expecting things to be done for good-will (even if that's never usually the case) and never knowing how such a deal really went.

When you said that, I had a scary-ish thought. 

 

New heists structure (including an optional rework of existing heists) could be Heisters Vs Heisters (because Rockstar wants to make things more difficult infuriating ragequit-inducing interesting) 

 

Take the Casino heist: Team One goes for the 'Big Con' route. Team Two goes for the 'Silent & Sneaky' route. Who can get from their base of operations, through the Casino and to the vault quickest? And then, can the team that 'won that race' get out and escape whilst the 'losing team' and the standard compliment of law-enforcement try to stop them? (and/or steal the take) 

 

Okay... In theory the two opposing teams could team up and split the profits once they'd lost the cops... but this is GTA, and they'd sooner stab you in the spine, steal the whole take, and text "Lzzzzz" instead of honouring your arrangement. 

 

Or in a separate but similar vein, one team does a heist, and the other team takes on the role of law-enforcement / FIB / IAA / Merryweather / Avon-clones etc. to stop them. 

 

I'm going to go and headbutt a wall a few times to try and forget these ideas. Rockstar... Plz no.

Don't think anyone ever have been banned on console so far for doing the replay glitch. 

 

Not sure what you mean with the re-release since the game was released on ps4/eggbox before the first heist update came..

I swear, there are bots more advanced than GTAO players. On the topic of bots, it would be nice to have some AI bodyguards in the game too, just after the new map.

Not bad, but I was okay with the OG heists. The only issue there is mandatory 4 players requirement, even if these players are literally doing nothing in comparison with soloable prep missions that were introduced later. Compare the security pass prep for the Casino with OG heist prep where you need to track vans with 4 people, that's laughable.

 

The thing with Casino is that, well, it's only focused on the Casino, where OG heists are diverse. Throw away 4 people requirements, let us play with 2 and it will be completely different story.

 

I think R* fails to realize, that meaningful teamplay is impossible in this game and the best solution is old-school co-op with 2 players doing heavy lifting. Apart from DMs, there is no point to team in the game unless the game requires it.

My wish is to scrap this game, let it rest for a couple of years, and then come out with a new SP and online. Everything they add comes with more glitches.  It is tiring, at this point.  They'll keep it going.  I might even play a little.

Sure, sure. I meant something closer to the OGs from SA or the functional from PC trainers from IV era, that was fun. The longer I think about it, the more I think that the best of this franchise was in the past and not going to be in the future.

Dont worry about it lol, i totally get how you could consider this a case of "i scratch your back you scratch mine" (Twitch advertises GTA:O, GTA:O advertises Twitch, everybody wins?) but that just doesn't happen between companies of this size, and its not like R* needs the help, at the time of writing this post there are:
- 31.5k people watching GTA5 / GTA:O streams on Twitch
- 34 pages of results on Google video search for "GTA 5" in the past 24 hours (and 33 pages on "GTA Online", while there's some overlap there for sure, you can safely assume 40-50 pages of gta videos)
- 2384 people on these forums
- A bunch more places where people talk GTA (reddit etc) that im to lazy to include.

So yea, R* doesnt need the 'advertisement' from twitch prime mentioning their game, they would do just fine without this partnership, so Amazon / Twitch are paying for it.

For the first 3 months, that's the strange bit about the standalone release of gta:o, that they specify "free for the first 3 months on ps5" but give no further details, is that free to keep? or subscription model hint? and how is this gonna work on pc? and xbox? still many uncertainties about what will happen to gta:o in 2021

For me and I believe those props on the casino are for a Showroom, with that band Gorrilaz playing their musics, and that videoclip (Pagans of the Valley) will be showing there to.

 

R* will only expand de Casino for that more attraction with Shows and Concerts.

 

The heist will be about something else in another place. (Hope in a new City)

Interesting thought, but i dont think there is any correlation between the Gorillaz and the upcomming GTA update. The new entrance will most likely be an entrance to the new heist planning area underneith the casino.

I dun think R* will write a story about cowboy gang and china gang when America and Chinese having a broken relation. You know how generous China government is.....

In Casino story part 1,Cowboy gang and China gang can't meet a deal because the old cowboy is crazy and Tao Cheng is a drugger

Thornton Duggan and Georgina Cheng are rational people and easier to make a deal

 

The cowboy gang has many business and members in SA, they can't just leave the diamond casino behind, For the Cheng family.....they dun have much power in SA(They was trying to set up drug business but got destroyed by Trevor and then retreat the casino business in 2019). Some business in an island would be a good offer to Cheng

I mean we want to know and not wait till December if we reached the goal or not.
