That’s probably the most reasonable expectation. I’m assuming this is a continuation of the Cheng story, but it would be nice if that story led us to the “new location.” The new room would still be part of the DC&R, and anything added to it wouldn’t be considered a new location. I’m extremely weary of marketing-speak, but I don’t think Rockstar would spin a new room as an all-new location.” 
 

It’s also interesting that the title cards for Online say something about “the next step in heist gameplay” or something to that effect. Probably more marketing-speak but it’s certainly an interesting description. In fact, it would’ve applied pretty accurately to the step from Heists and DDH to the far more intricate casino heist.

it's actually R*'s modus operandi, each week something new will be added by the construction site, probably will come out around 17th of december, some say even the 31th...bc the 10th comes out Cyberpunk, and it will be the worst marketing move from R* putting it the 10th

I haven’t seen anyone here say anything about the game files indicating more teases. I believe it’s just an educated guess, but I’d like to hear from one of the reputable members as well.

I'll admit, I was surprised that out of all the Diamond Staff who made a return in the Casino Heist, the 2 most important members, (Thornton & Agatha), didn't make an on-screen/vocal return. Has the Casino landed in Agatha's hands after Thornton either throws himself off the roof or has tasked her with finding a way to bring in finances and destablise the competition (sorta like the Heist from SA, only business not a gang thing) and in her newfound power & her well-established business degree, she's gone Catalina-crazy and has commissioned a dungeon/laboratory where she tasks us to plan a Heist?

 

I feel we're maybe putting too much focus into this one door. I mean, next week we might find construction in a completely different part of the Casino, in which case might give some hint as to what's going on. Now, if it's construction at another exterior door, I'd say it's probably an upping of the difficulty in the Casino Heist we've been playing for the last year, with the minimal addition being a barricaded door we need to drill the locks of to actually get out the Casino. If the next construction shows up INSIDE the casino right hand side of the table games white wall, then yeah the update will likely include an entire new section of the Casino.

 

Now I do NOT say that meaning that this potential room/new section is THE "entirely new location" R* teased back in July.

I disagree. I don't, for one second, believe that GTA VI required more than 8 years to finish and release, which will be next year when V for the PS5 launches. You also have to assume that Rockstar will give the PS5 version a couple of years at least, to milk the shark card dollars from that version. No, it's not confirmed. There were four phases to the in-game teases before the original Diamond Casino DLC, with more props being added each week. We then had to wait a further three or four weeks before the DLC came out, an unforeseen delay while they ironed-out QA issues. 

 

We just don't know how many teasers we will get this time around, or when it will release. Remember, some DLCs such as Arena Wars came out without any build-up at all, it just suddenly appeared.

 

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if they are aiming to get it out at least a week before Cybersprunk lands.

It has been 7 years tho and no one asking for gta 6 we either want something new, them to stop being lazy and fix glitches that has been in the game since 2016 or at least communicate with their fanbase and calm down buddy this thread is about gta 5. And yes they are milking it. You would think a company would add a map expansion for their life service open world game that has been their cash cow for 7 years but nope not rockstar

Reading that this place where the new construction is might be the cut showroom I remembered that I had an idea for a heist involving showrooms and vehicles. 

 

I've been thinking from a while back about a possible heist that would include stealing exotic cars. Like oldschool concepts and and new multi million dollar concepts/prototypes. 

Here's a quick rundown of it. 

 

The way I envisioned it, is that a new hotel would open up. I thought the best choice was the Von Crastenburg at LSIA just because of it's size. The ground floor would be accessible along with this showroom..

The grand Re-Opening would feature a cocktail party along the exhibition of a new vehicle. 

 

Anyway if there would be another heist again at the Diamond (which I hope there won't be) I wouldn't be surprised if this time we would be stealing vehicles for cash lol.

Maybe the Diamond is getting a special place where they store podium vehicles which are gonna be shown in a special kind of event just for VIP's..

 

..Or maybe all of this but at this new location but the planning is taken up at the Diamond.

Thank you for the clarification. I know about all this, I was around for the last...5? or so DLC speculations, I know Rockstar usually doesn't do this and the only time was Casino update. The thing I did not quite remember was if Tez or anyone else confirmed the 4 phases for December 2020 Heist or if it was all just a guess. Thank you

 

As for the Cyberpunk situation, I honestly don't know what to say. Not too hyped for it personally, nor will I play it before mid-2021, at the earliest. But I don't think its release can have that much of an impact on a 7 year old game's DLC release. We shall see, tho, this is Rockstar we're talking about.

 

 

On a side note, you know what I'm most excited for? The trailer. Los Santos Summer Special had such a great, simple and fun trailer, probably my all-time favorite since the original Heists Update. Rockstar always nails the trailers, but there was just something about LSSS...maybe Def Leppard....

So you are comparing the old GTA games to GTAV? GTAV is vastly bigger, their next GTA is going to be on par or bigger than Red Dead Redemption 2 that's for sure, and that as I said before has taken them 8 years to create.

 

If they were indeed holding on GTAVI because they're profiting from GTAO, they wouldn't even release RDR2, GTAVI is just not ready.

First off, the only people clamoring for GTA VI are the ones who play single player only. I know, I used to be one of them.

 

However, your pejorative opening above is only your opinion. Rockstar may not care about milking shark card money, because they are a development company, but Take2 absolutely does and Rockstar answers to Take2. If you take a gander at the INSANE amount of money that GTAO is generating, I can't possibly see how you can make the case that anyone who thinks Rockstar is milking GTAO is delusional. Take2 is a corporation and answers to shareholders and a board of directors. If you honestly believe that the huge windfall of constant profit from GTAO isn't a big part of their decision making, regarding GTA V and GTA VI, then I'm not sure what to tell you.

 

@MaddenedGhost, I don't believe that Rockstar's intent, when releasing GTA V, was to wait about 10 years for the next installment. The problem with GTAO isn't that it's not fun or that it is an outdated mess or anything. I still love the game. But 10 years is a long time between GTA games. RDR is a different series, and I don't think the same rules apply to the 8 year gap in its games. You may be right, but I honestly believe that Rockstar is deliberately taking their time with GTA VI a lot more than they would were it not for the constant influx of shark card dollars.
