Dont do anything with that info besides telling R* support, incase you missed it there was a massive wave of wipes and bans regarding a similar issue not too long ago.

This is the apartment glitch which is what culminanted with the latest ban wave that Rockstar did a month ago, something happened with this update which altered the value of some of the apartments and made them return millions back to the player in case they trade in their current apartment to another one.

 

You can take advantage of this, but be smart with how many times you do it because Rockstar is watching it, and the chances of getting banned are very likely.

It would be cruel if they did another ban wave just before the new DLC, but they've done it before and folk should know better. This just looks like a typo though, instead of an elaborate technical glitch.

So that's how the glitch that got people banned worked? I never thought about it, since I don't pay attention to money glitches. I wasn't trading in that garage, anyway.

He specifically said he did it just once. Broughty is one of those rare YouTubers who has credibility, there's no reason to believe he was lying. There's every reason to believe that trying this new money-making wheeze just once could also quite easily end in a reset.

Sorry to say but this has to be some of the most stupid advice I've read here. You can take advantage but you have high chances of getting banned?? It's not much to take advantage of than, is it?

I really have enough money, so not interested, but would be really pathetic of rockstar to reset or ban people for this.

Correct me here but it looks like it is just the normal trade in function that they offer for a reason, and people seem to get this sell price using it normally without doint certain steps that are necessary to trigger it.

They do not care also if you cannot finish a heist due their bugs also, which happened to me at least 20 times, which is rather annoying for me because I couldnt finish it than because of not getting money.

Even so, in my experience with Rockstar support as well as what I've seen from other posts, it's clear Rockstar can access a record of what activities you've been doing and how much you got paid. I'm willing to bet that when it comes to their anti-cheat system, they can temporarily add a very specific parameter should a mass money glitch like Lester's Locate a Plane Refund, Casino Chips Cashout or the Property Trade-In glitch start spreading among the community.

 

Example;

IF

Player SELLS property_x AND Trade-In_Value = OR > property_x_cost

THEN

redflag Player

 

And then, once the glitch has been hotfixed, someone on the account management side of things, calls up every player who got red flagged all at once and issues a Reset All Accounts command.

 

That's the way it goes now. Might not be true, but it'll certainly deincentivize people who think they can get away with it then bitch when they get reset.

In the original Diamond Casino DLC, the props that appeared outside the entrance in the weeks ahead of its release were coded into the game differently. They could be found and it was figured out where and how they would add more props in future weeks.

 

I guess this means that we can't peek weeks ahead with this update. But we should be able to tell if any other props have been added anywhere else around the map today.

Good thing I wasn't advising him into doing the glitch, I was saying what he could do if he wanted to, and I also told him the chances of ban are very likely.

 

Either way if he follows through and gets banned from the game because of this, that's on him.

Yep, the objects themselves always existed, there are clones of them on the Mile High Club construction site for example. They were placed by the casino side-door for the first time today.

 

In the lead up to the Diamond Casino DLC in June 2019, R* temporarily added props once a week for four weeks outside the entrance to the old casino. From the start we could peek into the script to know where and how the props would be appearing in those future weeks.

 

This time we can't tell where next week's props will be placed (if anywhere) until we see them in the game.

What's the point of telling people they can make lots of money from something if they're likely to get banned from doing it The way your post was worded you don't have to try very hard to make it look like you told him he could make a lot of money from it as long as he didn't do it to many times..  Yes in the end you said the chances of a ban was high but still..

Regarding Heist Task, i think that Rockstar will give us free vehicle no matter what. Not hitting the goal would get bunch of people mad, that's bad publicity.
