Exactly .. why would they change something in the casino if the heist/update is going to be somewhere else?

All I can think of is this might be some new planning room

Vault key cards level 3 access? Diamonds should be on-hand for every.single.heist.

 

So whether you have artwork, cash, or gold. If you've managed to get a level 3 keycard through some odd means you will have a chance to pickup a briefcase (1) of diamonds on your run through the casino? 

 

I love the casino heist don't get me wrong..but once you are actually in the casino itself it is too linear..nothing really unique happens.. I think Rockstar can turn up.

Yeah, assuming that this new room is our heist planning room then it means that the island could locked away from players access in free roam, the base consoles got TERRIBLE framerate whenever the aircraft carrier shows up on the map so them adding another island would just brick the consoles or some sh*t like that.

 

It wouldn't surprise me at all that players on the current gen will only be able to get a taste of the island by doing the heist, and only players on next gen would be able to fully access it.

i’m not like sure-sure that new garbage disposal room in the casino can be named “the biggest expansion”. but hey, maybe we will rob casino but now, instead of money, we grab ‘em trash.

Not in this current back-compat version, both generations will experience the same content, maybe when the next generation version releases.

Like I said before, maybe the new island will only be accessible for the heist and they can say we need to lay low for a bit and that's why we can't go there and then next year when the new version comes out they'll let us explore it freely.

Rockstar are teasing something with a text and new props outside of the casino. Some think that's what the new DLC is about while others, myself included, think it'll play a minor role such as a games room like @Piro suggested or a new place to set up the heist.

Construction props around the CASINO, Casino missions are now 2x cash and RP, it's safe to say it's not a minor role.

I mean there really is no ending in terms of storytelling to the heisting of the diamond, it is implied that we can keep on robbing it on and on.. would make sense storywise if some end to it would come

I don't think removing the most recent DLC makes much sense... why would they remove content that they worked so hard to make? What about the people who never played it or finished the heist even once?

Also I don't think it makes much sense to make a third DLC in a row focused around the casino... From marketing point of view, thats really stupid. Huge % of people would just ignore it thinking its the same thing they already seen before, right? Not to mention all the people who can't even use the casino in their country. So I'm 100% sure its not gonna be the main focus of the new dlc. Its just a red herring.

Yes. Also its not a troll is they srsly adding a new wing to the casino. Doesn't mean its gonna be the main theme of the next dlc tho. Might be a red herring cause they know we been talking about the island for MONTHS before they decided to officially announce it.

Planning room at the same floor where regular people can enter? Seems unlikely. Unless they adding a new wing with new minigames + underground lair for heisting.

Would make senes, biggest paywall they ever made. Buy the penthouse and the arcade before you can even buy the new heisting room under the casino to unlock the new location/new island.

I think this is the only change at the moment. Because Rockstar is clearly being hinted at to us via SMS.
I did not receive any other SMS. And I didn't notice anything new on the map (I drove around the state).

I think that the casino will hire us to find those people who are constantly robbing him (they don't know that we rob him).
And they will give a certain task to find "this" guys.

So, going off the casino construction last year, we can reasonably expect construction updates to the map at least every Thursday... possibly an small teaser announcement next week, or the week after that...
