DLC was planned to release in July from the start, possibly aiming for late July which is enough time for things to cool down, there's also a chance it could get delayed to August.

The world is expected to return to normal after two or three weeks from now. I'm seeing weekly updates on SteamDB, I think Rockstar figured out their way to work from home properly with the first week of May, I assume they spent all their time in April preparing to go full on development the month after. Still, it's unclear if game studios found a workaround to the mocap issue, so this is probably what holds them for now.

Is motion capture the first steps in creating a dlc or more towards the last? Is it possible they have completed that process In the months before the pandemic hit hard?

All depends.

 

First, there needs to be a concrete game design to the update and whatever "story" comes with it, otherwise how the hell are you gonna write and direct cutscenes that tie into the gameplay? Now I'm not saying "THIS IS HOW Rockstar do it", I'm just gauging differnent wars of how it could be done. They could do a bunch of acting and different takes as a fallback in the early to late middle stages of development, just in case the game design changes post-acting, but this can lead to complications if it changes too much, (watch the intro cutscene to Doomsday Act 2 and how Lester and Rackman talk about Riot Vans, NOOSE Trucks, the Avenger hangar and how they're related versus what their relation is in the actual mission structure). To get around this, they could use rough in-house recordings of dialouge made by the devs as placeholder for mid-mission dialogue, then call in the actual actors once the design has been finalized and in the bug fixing stage, mocap and get the cutscene animations scripted into where they're meant to trigger and such.

 

That is a bare bones beyond basic way of describing how it can be done.

What I know is that it's not a single session where you record everything and that's it.

It takes several sessions over the course of a month or two, so there's no way the process was done before the pandemic hit hard.

I absolutely share your PvP concerns...I mostly Play private Lobby, so hopefully it goes the pve way. Otherwise you will be griefed by cops all day

And uhh, do you know any info about the DLC? I mean from database, such as what could be the theme etc etc.

I hope @Fun 2 can give us some information soon and I hope Rockstar can release something saying that they know we're expecting a DLC to come out in July but we might have to wait a little longer for it to come out if it has been delayed (but the latter probably won't happen)

You know, I want THAT as a Doomsday 2 completion reward. Assuming control over Cliffford's Army, be able to customise their neon colour and be able to call them in as backup, On-Foot like Dwayne Forge's ability or in a Helicopter like Merryweather.

It could easily be monetized and would be more acceptable a feature to have Arena War level mod pricing.

 

- Number of AI to spawn in, starting at 3 and works its way up to 8, enough to fill an Insurgent Pickup + You.

- Armour - From basic to Duggan Shipments levels of tough

- Accuracy

- Weapons - from basic to Mk2 stuff

- Vehicle Spawn

- Vehicle Weapon & Armour

- Helicopter Spawn

- Helicopter Weapon & Armour

- Juggernaut

I wonder if they will do a Stripper Club DLC.  There's only one stripper club you can enter in GTA V Online or otherwise.  They have the areas where we could own a club and Lester would get laid every night (if he's not with his new girlfriend).  I'm sure there could be some interesting missions with the girls and competitions with other clubs.

I think the June $500,000 is going to happen, but no one has gotten the money since rockstar hasn’t ‘flipped the switch’ for once you login to pay you within 7 days. Pretty sure they’ll talk about it in tomorrow’s newswire if there is one

I think for June it will be the same as the last 2 months. Daily Objectives bonus + the 500 000 for playing. 

Hoping for triple money and RP for VIP Missions (Though probably unlikely).

Ok, something weird happened to me today.

While switching around on the radio on my yacht I came across two radio stations playing some weird muffled sound. It sounded like multiple people talking but I couldnt understand what they were saying. One voice was definitly a male talking pretty loud.

The same thing happened in my secondarys apartment.

When I switched back and forth a regular radio station had taken its place.

 

It kinda sounded like the things you hear when you go near random houses in the outskirts at night as if someone is watching TV inside.

Thing is it sounded diffrent from the reguale "ambient house" stuff and I never heard that stuff on the radio.

Can anybody tell me if this was intentionally added in the files or if it is some random bug?
