Yup maybe a week after or end of december, as i don't see them missing christmas time and releasing it in january

If they were to change the release date, I'd say it'd be earlier rather than later. It gives them more time to hotfix any potential gamebreking bugs. If they release it too late, employees go on holiday and we'll be stuck with said gamebreaking bugs until after the holidays.

If Cyberpunk 2077 does actually cause R* any concern in the slightest with regards to Heists 4, I lean towards this.

 

I still don't expect earlier than week of November 12th, I'd be amazed if they go straight to marketing it on November 5th, the moment the Halloween event week passes.

There's no way they will jump the xmas period, that's the most profitable month of the year. Not to mention, they already said "to be prepared for the biggest dlc ever coming later this year".

What would it matter to rockstar if they announce info for the next update Same week as cyberpunk comes out? Not everyone is on the edge of their seat to buy the game, especially seeing how many times they’ve changed Release dates. I was interested big time in like August of 2018 with gameplay reveals but nowadays it’s faded in my head interest wise

The Twitter comments under the delay announcement post show there's plenty of people vocal enough to show that they care.

not being triggered but it's kinda ironic calling cyberpunk unrealistic while gta online has gone so far from realism in the last couple of years that it almost doesn't even count as gta anymore.

It looks boring and cliche to me, never been a fan of CP aesthetic so that also plays a big factor. To claim CP is a threat to R* is pretty silly, V is the highest selling product in the medium of entertainment. If anything a GTAO DLC with a map expansion is a threat to Cyber Punk..

Like I said it’s my opinion, I like to play games that are more on the side of realism.  Who knows maybe I will like it.  But from what I’ve seen so far, eh.

True, it will never come close to what rockstar pulls, in terms of units sold.  Prolly not even RDR2.

I agree 100%, I don’t like the direction they took with some of the things they added, but it’s not like you have to use those things or that they are even a big part of the game.  I’m sure GTA 6 will veer away from that.

R* did pretty good last year with the updates, at least the game felt grounded and like gta

CD Projekt RED saw all the positive reactions by the car community on the cars they showed so far.

 

Now they are filling up the ‘day one patch‘ with more cars to make an even better entrance.

It's kind of a threat. Cyber Punk is potentially going to release in the same week as the GTAO DLC. A lot of players will be torn between playing that and GTAO. Not to mention the upcoming RDO DLC and the other big titles as well. Also, what if it's not a map expansion? There is every possibility that it's just going to be a new building on the current map. That itself might spread negativity and turn some players away? But anyway, R* needs competition. Whether that's Cyber Punk or some other game, R* and GTA need a rival. A bit of competition might actually bring the best out of them.

It's not a comparison of the two products; it's the business angle that's gonna be the interesting part to see play out.

 

Rockstar are going to be hoping that they've made Heists 4 enticing enough, to hopefully bring their current playerbase and any potential new players into buying sharkcards in the first week of its launch. If the update launches and word spreads in the first 24-ish hours the payouts are terrible for the investment costs and Rockstar got greedy (like Gunrunning Research & Arena War Wheel greedy), many players will just consider leaving it alone until the/any property prices for the Heist are discounted a few weeks later as per usual with any update and instead invest their time in playing a long-awaited, highly anticipated, unique title in the market, RPG that they could get lost in for weeks on end.

 

If players were to be drawn more towards playing CP77 instead of Heists 4 in the first week of it being added to GTA Online, the sales figures will struggle to match Rockstar's projections, which is bad news for them given they're touting this as not only a Heist update, but GTA Online's biggest ever update, AND the inclusion of an "entirely new location", something of which, is a topic that has been discussed a lot since the addition of the first Casino update.

 

As for us the customers? We're in a brilliant position. December's gonna be brilliant.

I toke it from RDO Newswire: "Players keen to see the results of the Naturalist Photo Challenge should keep a keen eye on the Newswire for an announcement in the coming weeks. Six of the community’s finest photographs will be selected (from over 10,000 submissions) and added to Red Dead Online as Camp Flags, Moonshine Bar Photos or Photo Studio Backgrounds in the next Title Update." - How cool it would be if we could take our own pictures and frame them in our houses? That would make them really unique.

Better yet, a new section on our Social Club profiles, we can upload maximum of like 6 JPG's that then that frames them as giant A1 paintings we can place in a few select spots like Penthouse decorations.

Why does this bother you guys so much? unless you obtain income from shark card purchases or benefit from positive GTAO statistics, I don't see why the amount of players who are online for the DLC drop affects you (not you personally). Its honestly just up to you as an individual if you want to play GTAO or something else during that period.

I really want a picture or statue added to Online that represents the 'Purple Alien vs Green Alien' saga.
