Dude thats like the 10th time they changed that logo. The first one was a yacht (hint for yacht missions right before SummerSpecial dlc) and after that they were hinting at Santa Catalina island (by changing the logo in gtao section). So nah, its not a reference to, y'know, summer. 

Obviously it still might be a troll tho.  But a small island makes the most sense.

edit: btw anyone cracked the "om1yQVd" cipher yet? Cause I surly won't waste my time on it since all the other ciphers said the same thing basically.

But judging by the file directory ("gtaforums.com/uploads/monthly_2020_08" / "monthly_2020_09") they have scheduled hints for every month.

recently i started to play one of my old pc games, Capitalism Lab and i forgot about a feature of that game, theres an option called "inverse inflation", when inflation hits 10000% and you are paying millions for pretty much everything, the central bank forces a currency revaluation (1 to 100 ratio), your money decreases due to the revaluation but this causes prices and costs to drop to reflect the current value of the currency.

 

i think some sort of adjustment is needed in gtao, you know the gta$ has lost it value when you have to pay over a million for a 90s golf gti.

Indeed, Shark Cards are not worth what they offer. 100 USD = 8m GTAO$ ? Not at all. Now if you approach buying a Shark Card the mentality of covering/impacting the cost of a DLC Buy-In, then the Great White is pretty much the only one that I can defend in the slightest as it can act as "purchasing" a DLC (not all, but most), the rest are complete jokes, even the cheaper ones. They're a product of what GTA was in 2013 when the most expensive item was $1,000,000. Back then, $100 for $8m in game sounds reasonable, because $8m then was considered as stupid as having $100m is today.

 

Any player who starts GTA Online today at Rank 1, do they think they'll have tens of millions in a few days? It takes time and investment. And you don't need millions upon millions to play this game, when they see guys like us with 100m, 200m, 500m+ they need to realize, most people with THAT amount of money are following the logic of Michael's quote from the Loud Jewel Store Heist; "I've made good money doing it, enough to spend a long time NOT doing it." If you have 9 (legit, non-glitched) figures in your bank, you don't need to sweat out a few Heists with randoms once a DLC is announced, you can simply set the date and jump-in.

Off topic but I doubt the thread will go this way while it's on my mind; A common question I ask randoms when they ask how I know about things like the tunnel that gets taken in the Jewel Store Job and such is; "Have you played Story Mode?"... with GTA Online getting a standalone release next year there's now gonna be a legitimate excuse as to why they haven't...

Sadly rockstar don’t really give any incentive to even look twice at single player. Everything in it is outdated. Replaying storymode it’s blatantly obvious how neglected it is. No new content in years, numerous glitches, including textures not showing up on clothes. R* doesn’t care about single player, so why should anyone else? That’s not how I feel, mind you. Just an idea of how the normal player base would feel about the whole ordeal.

The Golf I get, especially if you were there at the time, and it's not 90s, it's way, way before that, but there are real life people who paid 1.2m for a Dundreary Landstalker. That really is alarming.

We need a PvP mode that people actually want, instead of more copy/paste Adversary modes and yet another Racing update(If we get LC, at least there would be purpose for new races)

Are you sure about that? Don't get me wrong, i'm far from advocating for paywall of ''next gen'' PC version. Doing that hardly make sense, buy you never know what trick they could pull. If you are PC player and you don't want to pay again for basically barely enhanced version for PC, would you think same if you can't access new updates with your current version and you have a time window to purchase new version in order to transfer your character progress same way last gen players would to current gen? Sure PS5 for example will have it for free for first 3 months, we don't know how new xbox will be treated regarding this, same as PC platform. I hope it won't happen, but if it does, PC players will meet dilemma, either don't  fork cash for continued support and updates and be stuck in the last gen PC version and loose your online character or pay for character transfer and future updates. I don't want to give them ideas, but i'm slightly concerned how they will handle this next gen support on PC, because at least to me making online free on epic games store some months ago seems like some kind of bait to hook players and hustle them later on.

If current events were the sole reason why R* delayed the release of the CnC update, then I’d bet my life we’re not going to see it until summer of next year. The protests aren’t slowing down and I can promise you this won’t be wrapped up a month after the election. I wonder if they’ll delay it twice if it really is real. 

 

I’m willing to bet that they’ll just cut it up and toss bits of the content into the December update. I’m also confident that means we’ll never see CnC beyond adversary modes.

GTA V is one of the most purchased games of all time and STILL tops monthly sale charts.

 

Besides RDR2 already looks perfect, and RDO isn't worth rebuying the game for considering there's hardly anything to do. It's like pre-heists GTA Online over there

Betting that they'll give you an expensive upgrade (to whatever) for the purpose of easily dealing with oppressors. Unfortunately, it'll just end up being another tool to grief delivery vehicles.

Having a great job means not only are they extremely cheap, but the player also doesn't have time to grind. You can say "I only spend 3 hours per day and I have 100 infinity dollars." Great. 3 hours per day is almost a thousand hours per year. Not everybody wants to do that.

 

You spend money to go to a movie. Why? It'll be free in 2 years.

 

I mean why play a game at all, right? You paid money to waste time. You could just sit in your room and do nothing. Way cheaper. Sad.
