The problem of LS map is not being that small, bcz it isn't and you realize that when you need to go to paleto bay and  come back to the city, even more with this new crate event in the cluckin bell factory. The problem is that outside LS, the map is poorly explorated in the Sandy Shores and Paleto areas, at least you have all the wild life to explore in SP but, we don't have that in Online. Which a map expansion like LC, to me, would be the most refreshing thing of all the dlc's.

And i may add that they can get the north to work and be populated, bcz everytime that they put some bussiness or antything up there, you need to come to the city anyway, to do missions or get supplies or sell your products. I understand sell mc bussinesses from the city to the blaine county area, bcz, the city is "small" and you would delivered it very easily. But i think making you have the bussinesses in blaine county and stretching it to be sold in LS i think is exxagerated, bcz there's a plenty of space to do the deliveries only in that area, no need to go to the city.

Seems to me they already did that twice. Once with old gen to new gen GTA V, and with the RDR to RDR2 map.

It's very possible the old Liberty City portfolio leak was also a remaster project that got canned. I'm almost sure we're not getting LC this Winter tho lol

What if we get a particular place like Saints mark bistro , portland or maybe staunton, not a whole map just like in gta sa like CJ went to LC for a mission but the only place that was solid was just a little part of saint's mark bistro maybe rockstar will do same thing for the winter dlc or just add a island like an island where no body lives it's crowded by army and their is a prototype hidden in the island's land so we will used to rob the prototype i guess,

At this point? Nothing, I suppose. I was playing daily since day one, going from Xbox 360 to Xbox One and finishing with the PC. I have original collectors edition merch including the box and the cap, I've done everything I wanted in this game. Enhanced edition with some new map parts and  environmental damage could get me in just to play something like FiveM or another alternative multiplayer client.

 

Online from R* is dead for me. I have two copies of RDR 2 (long story, gift related) and never ever even clicked the online option. R* MP right now is not interesting, it's addictive and driving people to purchase gold/cash cards, and I don't care about how it's supposed to be normal. I want to pay for content like it is with Forza, for example. I don't want a yacht  worth $100 in real currency and I don't want to grind.

 

Because life is short, my wife is not really healthy and I'm pushing my thirties. It's simple as that, I'm not trying to promote my views, mileage WILL vary.

It's a whole city, they might as well release GTA VI before a whole LC expansion. And also yes, current engine limitations, V's RAGE is already super dying with current GTAO DLC lol.

This x10. I can't comprehend why people are getting obsessed with the idea of a new map in 2020? Seriously, Online is barely functioning as it is, on One and PS4 it's under 20 fps in a lot of cases. There is no way we're getting serious new map without a new game, UNLESS we are paying for the DLC and I can't imagine that happening.

lol gta online runs okay on my pc. I don't understand these console problems I guess. there are game breaking bugs occasionally like getting stuck in loading screens, but no lag for me.

 

tbh the game breaking bugs would be more forgivable if the f*ckn loading screens weren't so long. this game makes billions ffs, get us some dedicated servers...

Sure was, and the myroomonline.net still points to the game too. This all reminds me of how much better the parody and overall websites were in gta 4 compared to 5. They were so hilarious and detailed.

Of course it runs okay on PC, especially if it is a decent PC. Consoles, that's another story. And game breaking bugs, there will be more of them with the new big map added to the game.

if they were to add in lc, no way they would just plunk it in on the same map, they would definitely have to have separate sessions. since lc is smaller, there's a chance the game could run better there on consoles. 

 

idk if I have faith in rockstar to fix all of the bugs that would come with the new map though. they would have to do a lot of play testing probably. 

 

I usually only experience game breaking bugs when the game is loading in and out of interiors. it might be different for a new map though.

Servers after the summer special update, seems like they load a lot more quicker. Also, R* in their best dreams they didn't knew that GTA Online would get so famous and so playable and sell so well. That's why they didn't made effort in spending money in dedicated servers. You know that R* tries to not spend the most they can. But, they also should know better...nowadays not having dedicated servers is just pure bullsh*t. I never played any game that would cause server splitter like GTA Online does, not to mention that the cheatery that we see in game would be way less or even just done by just a few expert hackers but currently any joe can pay for a mod account and screw the game experience for everyone. I don't get why gta have one or the most toxic community in the gaming world. In a game that were rated +18 and just some time ago +17 to help selling better, should have the most mature community of them all, but either are just kids or adults with entitled kid mentality.

my worthless $0.02 on the tees, since i seen people talk about how it hints to a lc map expansion or whatever because those are gta iv brands;

i think that those tshirts were a part of cops & crooks dlc (and/or its dripfeed). note that:
-cops and crooks was a multiplayer mode in gta iv.
-lcpdfr, a very popular mod that lets you roleplay as a police officer, originated in gta iv.

what i'm trying to say is; those tshirts, and qub3d even, are a throwback to the game where it all began. obviously since the dlc didn't happen, it's all out of context now. i don't think it has anything to do with a lc map expansion at all.


so to add on to the lc talk, i don't think they're adding it to gtao anytime soon, if ever. it would be nice to have, but there's no way it's gonna work

Two of the most wtf things that i see about bugs and glitchs and merged things is: why the f*ck after so many years we still struggle with the problem of the helmet that you choose not save and the characters just put the default ones or the first that came up in the inventory list and watches that are incompatible with some pants.

The only problem is that all are hints of liberty city, even that prop hunt of solomon, one of them are in that cabin in the desert in the same table where there's a niko bellic wanted post...like, from all the houses in the game, that seems like a very odd coincidence. Also, why the f*ck R* would market a "new location" for heists? They could say: "expect new heists" and not adding "in a new brand new location", bcz no sh*t sherlock...new heists in a new location, somewhere in the LS map...of course. But it doenst seems it will be so obvious. I'm towards a new island or in the wildest dreams, LC.

Probably, but i think we will get the CnC update after the heist update as the final update for XBOX ONE and PS4. Or they will just integrate the CnC content into the heist update.

I haven't played any of the RDR games so I can't speak for that, but I would assume the current-gen iteration of GTAV was built in tandem with the old one, no? I'm guessing it wasn't really a remaster so much as taking everything from the older gen and then cramming in whatever else could fit into the new one. Not to mention the company's changed a lot since then. By everything I've read here, the game engine itself can't take anymore—hence the speed limit, lack of interiors and so on. I feel like the work required to bring Online into the next generation is more than what was required last time around. The problem is no longer the hardware.

Imagine the harrasment that some people find only because they killed some kid on a mk2 and they got mad and ddos ur ip, sigh

The game is about to reach unplayable levels and vets are really leaving either to five m, red dead or other games

 

 

There is no faith in gta 6 multiplayer looking at the state of how red dead its and gta:o

 

The easy fix would be able to sell your bs on Invite Only lobbies or with friends

 

yes i know, i can accept getting Orb or Killed on a mk2 or tryhards destroying my cargo

people saying lc cannnot be done on this gen for limitations it is a task but hard impossible . 

need to look at the bigger picture here rockstar have got away with the same map on this gen how long do you think they cannot  milk online on next gen with lc and vc alongside the current map.  

 

my theory is with the crunch of rdr 2 and the cost of that and gta v in sp alone  and the success of online some investment and the return it has and potential of online. 

rockstar did reboot gta 6 from what it was probably on a scale of rdr 2 downsized to to more a gta 4 scale which dont forget still cost 100 million to make so gta 6 wont be cheap. 

a maybe smaller map and story with the purpose of porting it to the new online hence why i say on the gta 6 forum keep expectations low.  

 

as for lc it is a hd map not even half the size of the current one and it would cost time and money to say scout catlina island and remake it from nothing so the idea of porting a hd map to the current gen is not that mad in contrast especially on a project that has been in development in 2014 . 

whether with get lc in the winter update its 50/50 a map expansion i am certain but they might save lc for the next gen but like i said in previous posts what a selling point it would be to get people to buy the new online if it had lc as well as the current map  lc if it comes in the winter update will be barebones anyway likely  a place for the heist and thats it . 

 

and last point there will no gta online 2.0 thats rubbish so the whole reason of standalone online is it will be the online for next gen so if there are doing vice city from nothing why would not reuse the most used gta city already hd in online and the next update biggest update ever new location hints in last two event weeks of lc rest my case .
