There's two things that i'm affraid in this dlc:

1. If there's just two open wheels vehicles...imagine that the current ones that we already have will eat dust compared to the new ones, even the Ocelot couldn't keep up with the Progen. One was an indy car the other a f1 car. If this dlc will only bring two OW and one being indy and the other f1, then, we will get to the same spot than before: everyone will only be competing with the same vehicle and all we see in races is the same car.

2. I'm not holding my breath for new weapons, but if they come, if they are some of the classic melee weapons i just hope that they don't put crazy special abilities in them, or at least, an option to turn it on and off.

Slightly off-topic but just wondering, did you notice any changes made to the casino card games recently? as in notice any changes that could explain why the games are suddenly super terrible? did they push some background update recently?? or was this a change on serverside u can't pinpoint?

More players are needed i play in bs and nothing happens past the vinewood sign,the map is wasted tbh.

From a business aspect alone, it makes sense to build upon, develop, enhance and expand the GTAO that we have now. As much as I would like to get something new, the prospect of saying goodbye to this iteration, my character, all the stuff and all those hours of play in it to start again from scratch is a bit disheartening. 
 

Solution, take GTAO onto next gen where they will have the processing hardware and capacity to expand it with new areas and new environments, and keep the thing rolling. Veterans are happy, noobs are happy, shareholders are happy. Everybody wins I say.

Right now I feel like I did with Arena Wars. They announced it, and that night I was like "whatever, it's gonna be dogsh*t." I don't know I'm just not feeling the hype.

 

But Arena Wars wowed me as soon as those car leaks came in. I hope to god this does the same thing for me.

 

More than a dozen "new" vehicles? So in Rockstar terms, that is like 13. And right now we know it's that Lampadati thing (meh), that Gauntlet Classic Custom (ew), and that indy car (awesome but not really my biggest interest). And we know there will be one other open wheel racer car. So there are likely 9 new vehicles we don't know and I hope they're good. I hope the Benny's cars aren't just half-assed touch-ups of already existing cars (especially not recent cars, the Gauntlet Classic is recent AND already has a ton of mods, it did not need more, there were plenty of other cars that did). And I hope the off-roaders are a little more original and not just generic jacked up sh*t. And those "tunable sports cars" might sound interesting but for all I know they could just be already existing cars tuned by Benny's or mediocre stuff like that Lampadati. And "vehicles" meaning not just cars. Which isn't good sign in my opinion because I really doubt I'd drive some new boat or jetski more than a mile.

 

Only time will tell and we'll know soon. I sound pessimistic I know, but given the current situation I just have feelings this was an update they slapped together last month. I want to be wrong.

I've said this many many pages back. it makes no business sense that GTAO2 comes with GTA6....at all. It will probably come 2/3 years after it.  There are plenty of reasons for that, but it comes down to money, lol

While you both make good points, just consider these two things:
- GTA6 will happen, R* might have discovered MP being highly profitable but they are still a company that makes SP games, and at some point they will want to properly (graphically etc) update GTA
- You know what shareholders would really like? if R* can add another micro-transaction platform, theres no reason there cant be GTA5:Online & GTA6:Online

If the downforce mods were applied in races instead of being set to 1 by default, then the Ocelot R88 would actually have a higher possible top speed than the Progen PR4.

 

But like you say I expect the new, modern Open Wheeler to easily beat both so it doesn't matter anyway.

I wonder if there will be a tie in with red dead online again? Like the revolver, hatchet, etc. Maybe a rifle, since we haven't had one of them really before in gta online.

Greatest thing just happened. "ThE gAmE tOlD mE tO" mk2 was chasing a players cargo. I killed them using the heroic Hunter. Than I heroically saved a player who was stuck on the side of Mt. Chiliad. Than the mk2 starting chasing me. So I flew to my yacht. Sadly had to jump from the Hunter. But I landed on my yacht and yacht defenses shot the mk2 down. And people said the yacht is useless lul

looking at this saint catalina island my opinion it would be a pretty poor map expansion. 

maybe im wrong thats no disrespect to anyone on this forum who might live or have been there . 

but its a small island if this is to be the biggest ever update only lc will be acceptable to me . 

my standards of rockstar are maybe to high but facts are facts  i just feel lc would be a selling point for the next gen online .

Speaking of that, we can hope for a fix to the issue of how different spoilers that give off different downforce values all defaults once the open wheel race begins.

as i said an lc map expansion is probably not going to happen . 

i hope for lc in gta 6  but who knows the gta 6 map will be ported to the new online that i am certain i just hope its has lc .

Going by the mention of cheat detection improvement from the initial newswire, I reckon there will be a decent banwave tomorrow morning... I'll be curious to see just how hard they go on the casino chip junkies. Those who got greedy and took 100 mil plus should probably be prepared but if you took a few million here and there you'll probably be okay. This is only the second update since getting the casino, it'll be interesting to see how hard they go, the casino does kind of just beg to be taken advantage of.

I'd be looking forward to this as well, if it weren't for the fact that said issue seems to be a deliberate design choice by R*

why would they add LC six months before they plan on releasing it on next gen?  that seems like something that would come with next gen, not before

I'm not entirely sure I know the point you're trying to make here.

 

My point was that the Last Team Standing DLC was arguably the worst update in the game, well for me at least.

There aren't gonna BE any leaks. Rockstar patched the method.

 

You'll see what's in the update at the time R* wants you to.

It added the bullet proof helmet which broke pvp
