Given how lacking RDO's event week is this week, if GTA does something similar tomorrow, then I'm hoping that means we're a week or two away from news and a string of crap event weeks, especially given that the free 500k expires on Sunday, that takes us into June.

 

This is my pre-Event Week Newswire speculation, given that Twitch Prime updates tomorrow as well, my speculation'll probably change up a bit once we see the newswire.

I only know that, whenever we'll see Double GTA$/RP on Stunt Races and nothing else (besides maybe double on associates salary), that's when we can 100% expect some news. They literally always do that

The question is whether there will be an announcement and/or release before the traditional 4th July event week. 

 

Here in Blighty, offices (and some non-essential business) are expected to return to socially-spaced-normal in the middle of June. I appreciate that Rockstar has people all over the globe who are either already back at work, or who might have to wait longer than that before they're out of 'lockdown'. I speculate that there might be announcements for new stuff in GTAO and RDO towards the end of next month, but potentially no DLC proper until mid-July. 

 

But I hope I'm wrong. I usually am.

Well, that's typically how there newer DLC releases have been in terms of timing... We typically get little information towards the end of June and then some more in July, with the DLC itself being released around the end July.. You're probably not very wrong at all, unfortunately.

 

My speculation is that July 21st will be the earliest this next DLC will release. As for announcements/news... Here's hoping for June 18th at the earliest. They typically keep us waiting for a bit after hyping up a DLC. I wouldn't be shocked at all to know that the next DLC will be an early August release.

You know, The Last Play Missions gave me alot to think. One of which is The Molly Pills you have to collect for Gerald. Did Rockstar cut out The Molly Pills Business in The Biker Update?

Fun did mention on the RDO Speculation Thread that it looks like they are close to the QA phase. So we could probably see an announcement next week or two for RDO and/or GTA

The big hope is Rockstar do one huge newswire that covers the two next updates for both games, trying to find a delicate balance between not going too into detail about what the update's have in store but giving a little taste in prep for the BIG info dump closer to drop;

- theme

- a weapon

- bit of clothing

- a car or two.

 

What would surpass my expectations is if they repeat the scale of that post from 2016 that announced the offices and the stunt races that would come shortly after in their own smaller update.

That sounds like the way to do it, but I think they might announce one after the other in the same week. Much like they did with the moonshiners update.

I think 2023/24 sounds realistic to me (like realistic steak), i think GTA online has a Lot of possible dlcs still:

 

Cops and crooks

Water dlc

Tuners

Doomsday Part 2

Og like heist but with 2 players

Finance and felony 2

Executive and others criminals 2

Taxi, paramedic, vigilante all in one

Quality of life with luxury ítems

And much more, plus they could add new vip jobs, contact missions, adversary modes, and lots of Cars

Taxi business would be great if done right. Online character has to buy taxi depot to start business, name company and choose livery for cars similar to name selection for nightclub or livery could be customizable or better yet no mandatory which i would choose as discreet transportation service. Depot would generate some amount of cash, but significant earning could come from drivers who would sell drugs on their route either to clients they drive (which would be rich and spoiled high end clientele) or taxi would be only cover for transporting drugs and drivers could be upgradable with better weapon arsenal.

 

Online character would of course interact with drivers and help when needed and also sometimes act as driver himself/herself. It would be also perfect opportunity to add high end and luxury sedans, coupes and limos. The only problem from gameplay perspective would be that update could turn to driver simulator and our characters would be errand bois similar to nightclub promo missions and knowing R*, they would do just that because if it's total passive business there would be no frustration, ergo less sharkcard sales. Then again we have NC as passive, so it's possible to be done right and friendly to solo players and grinders.

I hope we get a good event tomorrow, it's been a while... I/E or double on nightclub sales would be nice. At least double OWR. Maybe a manufacturer shirt for a login bonus that hasn't been released before.. pretty much anything would  be better than the current event.

I do not want 4 more years of this mess, the game is barely holding itself together with all the time outs, awfully long loading times, random FPS drops(30 is not even the standard on PS4 anymore), bugs everywhere and having to put up with the sh*tty matchmaking...And they STILL want to pump more content up on this mess?

 

Yesterday I managed to see and hit the LOD of a couple of buildings in the city while speeding in a f*cking Primo I stole off a NPC, we are close to see the same sh*t we had on last gen on a daily basis.

 

GTA next coming out only 3 years for now HAS to be a rumour, I cannot believe this.
