Its either LC or VC, it has to lay the groundwork for future content.

 

5) Open wheel racing is BORING and rockstar knows that. Know why they only released two cars? Cus had they released 10 people would still only buy one cus they are all the same LOL

 

I just dont agree with two aspect that you said: VC map is out of the question. That will possibly be the map of gta 6, they wouldn't waste their ace card for the next title only bcz "gta online 1".

The OW races will probably only be more developed in the next dlc. They just launch two F1 cars to test the waters. Probably they will add improved race tracks and of course they will release new vehicles, there's always F1 fans that would love that and they didnt made a complete new vehicle class for the sake of 2 cars, if they believe it will not be that popular then isntead of 10 new F1 cars, they will add just another 5. And people almost only brought the progen pr4 bcz it was the best of the two, performance wise.

As for character transfer, again, if they make drastic changes to the character creator, I doubt it'll even be possible - and that's without considering how not every car from current GTAO will come back in VI, or how R* needs players to be broke when starting out again, in order for some people to fork out for microtransactions. I suspect that it'll be more like a returning player bonus: some unique cosmetic unlocks, maybe a head-start sum of money, or a free car and basic safehouse. Nothing that'll stop players needing to buy Shark Cards, mind, but just enough that long-time players don't go into 'GTAO 2.0' with nothing to show for all the millions they made back in original GTAO.

That is kinda depressing lol. You're talking about sh*t I've never considered but makes perfect sense. At the same time I'm even more excited for GTA Vl than I've ever been.

Are Devin Weston and Steve Haines gonna make their appearance in the upcoming DLC also?

 

I'll be disappointed if Weston and Haines are still alive and they might probably return in the upcoming GTA Online DLC. They shouldn't return after we killed them off in ending C in story mode.

If they do the LC, maybe they do some "East" version of existing stations too?

I think this is would be pretty suitable to NYC atmosphere to hear some 90's-00's acoustic pop on Non-Stop-Pop East.

Well...actually...bc horses were in V beta, and leftovers, we would just need models and animations i think...and RDR2 technically supports cars bc it is Technically just a heavily modified GTA V...bc the wagons are technically just vehicles like the train and such.

And they even support a lot of V stuff.

Like you can still enter the vehicle manufacturer in the vehicles.meta and they just disabled the vehicle name in the corner when entering a vehicle via just a setting in the gameconfig.xml set to false.

And the cop system still supports police helicopters, etc.

So i am certain that in a couple years you will see car mods for RDR2 like with V

Yeah imagine reusing existing code because it's easier to do and works just fine by disabling a few things. Who could have thought of that!

The flip side of course is "are we into longest running game with free DLC every six months or so" which might also nearly be true, for tripA anyway. Just to show rockstar some love.

I mean, I personally don't mind waiting 7-8 months for a content update if it means they can work on something bigger that just takes more time. But stuff like bug fixes and qol should come every few months tbh...
But who knows, maybe they delayed it on purpose because of the virus situation.

I don't know if anyone has already talked about it but the two main pictures of the event weeks of the vespucci job and the survival week and the one picture for the new car that we will get in the next update all show the Maze bank, the FIB building and the other tall buildings

Their entire workforce, like, entire, was scattered to WFH overnight in common with many companies so yeah it would be more or less miraculous if the dlc pipe wasn't set back a bit.

Hot take - people might be pleasantly surprised about the content of this smaller dlc simply because expectations are extremely low at this point. 

I'm still pretty sure they will give us another property or a new business just to squeeze some money out of people. But it will be a copy/reskin of something that we already have in the game. Just like the recent rdro update thats basically another hunting dlc but you take samples from animals instead of skinning them. Same concept, same code, different animations. 

So my predictions are:
- another "terrorbyte" type of vehicle with new missions
- more rc toys
- reskin or part 2 of something we already have

Out of all the dlcs we had so far I would say Smugglers Run and I/E surly deserve a part 2. Also nightclubs but that would require more effort, so I wouldn't bet my money on that one. 

edit: oh and also Yachts and Arena War. But simply because there's a loooot of thing that they could easily improve there.

Lol yeah I know. Thats why I was pitching horses before Casino dlc. But you have the basic understanding of things to know why they gave us virtual horses instead. And why the original idea was scraped from the beta version in the first place. Cause in the end it wasn't as simply as copypasting code from one game to another and expecting it to work. And theres no way that they would even want to copy the entirety of gtao to gta VI

And out of all the people in here you should know that they would never release GTA VI without making a new version of gtao from that game. You know how messy and outdated the current version would be compered to GTA VI. My point still stands. I was just giving a simple visual example.

I still hope we receive the long awaited Midnight Club DLC. They could bring back Hao, have us buy a garage that introduces a new set missions. Each mission completed from him unlocks new mods that you could put on your car. R* could also add a bunch of new races scattered across LS/BC with cops getting involved. Would be a dream!

I can:

1. Get dripfeed cars earlier and help with customization requests that people would like to see and don't have access to them

2. Test the cars and guns however I like before spending a dime on it

3. Modify them how many I like till I figure out how I'd like them to look

4. I'm not bound by limited garage space

5. I use like 3-4 vehicles in Online tops, for the rest (which are pretty much photos) I can use SP with other mods

 

There, here are my reasons why I'll be spending few days after the DLC drops in SP rather than Online.

 

Also if I don't have an access to certain features I can wait to see how they work or if they are worth it or not, while still experiencing new content.
