You guys still don't how R* works after all these years...

 

When Sharkcards sells drop (since most players that buy them already have everthing they can own), a new DLC will come out.

That 1 million for 10 daily objectives always works on me. YES, I will play the game again, alright R*. The next DLC however better come out in 1 months time tho.

Prolly will be in like two months from now and if we are lucky we will get news a month from now.  I could see the dlc dropping either Tuesday July 21st or Thursday July 23rd.

If you consider the dates of 2018 and 2019 then you are right.

I don't get why Rockstar Games release their new content in July since some years. School ends in June and Summer also starts in June.

So why not a new update every 6 months, like in June and in December?

School over here in the UK ends mid-late July, they usually tend to have something up for then. Though I did assume the US is similar, lol.

Yeah, 2 millions is respectable.

 

When NFS Heat came out last year, it sold about 2 millions between the time it came out & the EA earning call. EA considered it a commercial success ... Sadly it wasn't enough to save the studio.

Question: Do we know why R* dislikes having smaller DLCs for GTA online that are released every 2 months or so, instead of one big one that is drip fed over 6 months?

 

Imagine if they released the DCH in Dec 2019 and then two smaller ones for open wheel races and for Gerald missions in 2020 that adds to the DCH update. They can keep the cars secret and more importantly will allow them to patch bugs that arise in this period. I mean we have to wait 6 months for small bugs to be fixed like the club award every time we log in.

 

I know updates for Sony / Microsoft have to be verified and it costs money (not sure on the exact amount) but other Triple A games have almost monthly Title updates. Lastly, R* does have the most profitable entertainment medium ever, so cash shouldn't be an issue.

There will probably be some updates next year too. I don't think GTA6 will come sooner thatn 2022.

The game is rated 18+ (Before you start, I know they're aware that under 18s play the game) so I doubt they'll tie it to school timetables.
It's also different in every country anyway. School ends mid to late June in Scotland, and restarts in mid August.

The triple money on Bunkers, was a mistake. Simple as that, it wasn't planned from the start, take the video on last week newswire article, it was made a few days or a week before the event went live.

They are making it up by basically giving us 2M for doing easy daily objectives this week and they have been handing us money right and left.
