Before Epic Games release the game for free, i would be skeptical about guys with high levels, now, i'm more skeptical about guys with lvl 40's. GTA being free was a nice thing, but, the problem is that many people aren't nice and it was a modder fest for modders.

I'm guessing August 13th for the summer update. That'll be enough time for the Deathbike and Sugoi to hit the podium, and it'll give the RDO update two weeks of breathing room. The newswire also said to look out for updates in the coming weeks, plural, and since the RDO update is coming in a few days that likely means the GTA one is at least a couple weeks out. Maybe they were aiming for a traditional July release date but had some coronavirus-related delays. I'm hoping a trailer or some sort of teaser comes soon.

I think an update in the middle of August would be foolish. A lot of their clientele (students lol) will be figuring out what they're doing in the fall around that time.

Even first week of august is late, they should've already release it by now or next week at the latest.

I like that you assuming that the majority of stundents really only focus on studies and not in games.

EDIT: believe me, i watched enough. Mainly if you're in university, focus on studies are something of a small percentage of students. The majority focus on sex, parties, etc., you know...living la vida loca.

They should nerf it by replacing those magical auto aim missiles with regular ones. Also the firing speed should be reduced to be just like the firing speed of buzzards. And every grinder will agree with that.

I'm sure they don't, but considering much of GTA online's player base is probably between 14-17, it isn't hard to see how the upcoming school year will impact player numbers and shark card sales.

Idk how is there in US, but, at least in my country, students usually just study like 1 week prior of their exams, lmao. And in university, waht they want is viver la vida loca: parties, sex and when not, recreational drugs. That's what happens when certain ideologies dominates universities. Idk know accurate is american pie movies, but seems to me for what i've seen, 60% is a mirror of collegue society.

Just make both EWO and suicides count against both K/D and score, boom, tryhard suicide rates drop to zero.

 

It's even funnier when you consider that this already happens in Deathmatches, Adversary Modes and even One on One Deathmatches on Freemode of all things, just apply the same thing to regular Freemode too and perhaps tryhards will finally f*ck off to Fortnite, Warzone or whatever.

rockstar have said for the winter update we will get a new location people have said it will be a current location like the mile high club lets dismiss this straight away .

in 7 years of online rocktar have never said a new building is a new location that was a first obvious wording .

even yan has basically said its a new map so lets put that to bed.

we know rockstar are making gta online standalone next year which always meant one thing map expansions my guess lc then vc down the line when six comes out .

but any good company might give there customer base a sample of the overall product so get them to buy the product.

my theory is rockstar who have been working on the lc map expansion since 2014 will add it to current gen as the final update for the game with the heist story wrapped around it .

lc will have the basics only purchasable property the one for the heist setup like the arcade an apartment or something like that with a garage and nothing else expect free roam.

current gen can handle a map expansion but future updates which rockstar have already said is coming are only for nexr gen online and lc can be expanded over time .

probably another lobby to get around sync issues start of the menu you have the option to load to lc same as current online sp and the current discounts for the week.

ls goes and lc loads up same as a adversary mode its a different map expect on a larger scale.

give current players a taste of the new online to get them to buy next gen for the new online.

sony has a deal with rockstar for the next online so it would have made more sense if this was only a heist to hold it off for ps5 tell players you are getting lc which will be updated over time its a selling point to get people to buy a ps5 which is out around the same time as this update .

Highly unlikely the whole of LC is coming to CG. As I said previously, I reckon only a part will come. PS4 can bearly handle Vinewood Boulevard, let alone an entire new city consisting of 3 detailed islands.

online can handle the whole of the current map so handling a much smaller map is not an issue put it into context comparing the two san andreas is 45km in size lc is 8 km it was one of the smallest maps in the series

Just because it's smaller in scale doesn't mean it will run better. Density on something like LC is way more than plain country like in LS. Imagine literally everything is Boulevard.

Aside from Liberty City (and that one would require a heavy facelift anyway), it's unlikely we'll get a brand new map the likes of San Fierro, Las Venturas or Vice City.

 

It's just way too much effort expected from them that could be used for GTA VI or whatever.

As much as I don't want to set myself up for disappointment, entirely new location makes me think it won't be North Yankton or an edit to the current map. Likely an island of some sort. 

But hey, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe this extremely long silence was them making a proper map. San Fierro? That'd be nice.

They mentioned it in their Newswire post regarding the next gen console release and GTA V. It stated 'There will also be a new standalone version of GTA Online coming in the second half of 2021, which will be available for free exclusively for PlayStation 5 players during the first three months.'

The PC version counts as the new gen so the Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC will recieve new updates, while last gen console will stop recieving updates.
