That’s from 2013. Gunrunning came out in 2017 and confirmed Online was now set in 2017. We can probably just assume Online is just set as whatever the current day is. I’m not sure why it matters so much to people though.

It obviously won't be added for a heist, and then never used again. They would be using the city to add new content to for the next few years.

 

LS is overcrowded as it is. Having a new area to start adding stuff too would probably make things easier for them.

 I was thinking more about the Liberty City idea 

- You guys remember that introduction trailer that played inside the game when you joined a lobby for the first time after Casino dlc was released? They could do the same thing for Liberty City. Just a pre-rendered video that shows you the Liberty City skyline and a plane arriving at the airport (kinda mirroring the intro to gtao). That way they would only have to add some new interiors for those heists and thats it (like the Liberty City Bank or the Museum). Tricking us with a video into thinking that we are actually in a different city sounds like a R* thing to do. 

- Gay Tony might be the one who gets us there. Maybe he needs our help to retrieve something or get a revenge ?

I believe the "new location," will not be a map expansion, but a building in SA that we have yet to gain access to.

Speculation: 

Rockstar might make available vehicles and use assets supposedly intended for a 'Cops & Crooks' DLC as part of the upcoming heist, instead of releasing them in what would have been / what would still be a controversial DLC. 

 

Kind of like... whichever Fast & Furious movie it was where they tried to infiltrate a police station (and then they changed the plan to tow a safe through the city instead - although, new 'armoured Buffalo' opportunity there) 

 

Maybe a basic / cheap approach where players have to steal / buy Merryweather Patrol Dilettantes for a reduced payout / slower getaway... or a complex / expensive approach where players steal / buy any of the other LSPD vehicles for an improved payout / faster getaway. Plus uniforms for either / both, of course.

I'm predicting a small new interior, like the casino or possibly north yankton reworked.

 

I highly doubt entire new maps unless it coincides with ps5 / next next next gen.

So, in other ways, you want lightsabers as a melee weapon. I just want a katana to be a happy guy. I don't get way we need 3 variants of axes and one one them having that annoying Trevor's ability when you hit in someone. I just hope they don't do that stuff in any other melee weapon, at least, let be a switch if we don't want that activated.

It's just marketing. Showing us something that we want, make us salivate for it and just add it 1 or 2 dlc's after. I'm 99% that same will happen with the Zr-380 in a standard version some day.

It seems like this summer update will be a QOL-update more than anything else. I'm not expecting too much new gameplay content, but I do want new nice vehicles, clothes and guns though

To me it feels like the major update this year will be the new heist coming later. Let's see how this update goes first though

I also think that. Maybe a mix of many things, cunning stunts, AW, more arcade games, improvements in QOL. I think the hardest part will be coming with a name. But probably for the casual player a QOL update will mean little, so probably would be needed something big even if doesn't pay a major role in the gameplay/our criminal organization, like...a mansion just to chill to appeal the masses. Let's see what R* comes up with.

I struggle to understand the desire for North Yankton, even more as a Heist location. What could possibly be there that our millionaire characters who have stopped a nuclear doomsday and robbed a Casino, would traipse their ass halfway across America to a tiny snowy town with the biggest target being a cash (and shipping?) depot just off the edge of it? North Yankton is tied solely to Michael and Trevor. It's part of THEIR story, not ours. Franklin never wanted to go there, he just wanted to know what happened in 2004 and what relevance it had.

 

I'm keeping the brakes on my hype, a new interior for an updated/already existing building is what I expect, if it's a grander scale... then hell yeah.. What I'm more interested in is Rockstar's "latest take on Heists".

 

Every Heist update has had a completely reworked mission structure, with everyone agreeing that they've nailed it with the Casino Heist. You can prep it entirely on your own, you can skip certain steps if you want making it a little harder if you're up to the task, the ONLY point you NEED another player is for the twinsync keycard door... compare that with the entirety of The Prison Break, or The Humane Labs Raid. What I'd like to see is, by all means, keep it a minimum of 2 players... but up the Player Count to something like 10 and we've got the makings of something interesting here.

 

Now I know what you're thinking; "Ten players for a Heist? Cut's will be tiny." and that's true... if we were taking a score that's our usual takes of $143k - $3.6m. But what if we went for something even bigger? Something that CAN be done with just 2 guys, but they'd never be able to steal the whole $10m-$15m that's up for grabs all by themselves in the short window of time they'd have to hit it and get out without getting killed or caught.

I think R* would never admit so openly that their game lacks a huge varieties of quality improvements to make it explicit in the title. xD I guess it will be named as something related to races, like GTA Online Southern San Andreas Grand Prix. Which happens to be just the "spring dlc about F1 races" mixed with something that they finished for the actual summer update with all the pandemic limitations and the rest of the summer update will now be part of the winter dlc, to help make it the "biggest addiction of the game ever".

I noticed this a couple weeks ago on the side of the mall.Not sure if it had been there a long time but i never noticed it in the entire time ive been playing since 2013.Definitely a LC reference,so i wouldn't be surprised if they snuck this in.

New aircrafts would be useless without adding more slots to hangar since i bet  a lot of players already have their filled up. More garages slots are needed also and yea there are not a lot of jets and helis compared to land vehicles, but only 20 slots to store them will not be enough if they start to add more.

This is from the time of AH dlc. But really, don't look to much at it. People should not now make pages and pages of speculation, bcz we only probably know in december or near that. Idk, maybe we will reach MK XI of the thread just bcz that "new location" if we speculate about it based on nothing.

People talking about integration and etc ... but i really hope for newer rides and newer customization parts for older rides, mainly the orginal-launch GTA V bikes.

 

They made parts, liveries for older rides, so to keep old rides around, maybe they could give the same treatment of the Mamba, Prairie, Ruiner, Patriot and etc... to others.

 

PCJ, Hexer, Bati, Double-T/Akuma, Vader, Sanchez, Blista Compact, Kuruma, Dominator, Gauntlet, Stallion, Peyote, Manana, damn ... the list of well known and popular rides is big .... some of them could at least have newer parts.

 

Also, time to take off the dust of the beta weapons, those could see the day and the light.

Sport Bikes also deserve some luv', not only fugly protos, sport or race cars and annoying supers, also 2020, if the timeline is moving forward, at least R* needs to give us newer/recent vehicles.

Yeah that would be an interesting take on heists. Something between a heist and survival/contact mission.  

That could work well for a giant cruise ship. Everyone gets his own level and we all rob passengers on different floors at the same time. And the best part? the heist wouldn't fail even if 9/10 people died.

The worst part? Knowing R* if only one person survives the money from that one bag get slit between 10 people

Probably. You could try looking for some old youtube gameplays from 2013.

But btw its a shop in Los Santos. So I guess the billboard was always there.

And if you think removing it is going to change anything about how players play this game, you're mistaken, RDO doesn't have the kd ratio yet it is filled with idiots abusing ability cards.

Removing the KD wouldn't really do anything. Tryhards would still spam suicide to prevent you from getting one up on them

but I really wouldn't have anything against removing it either.
