The Cliffford that got fed the Data Breaches, blew up the sub, and gained access to all the IAA's network, the one from Doomsday is dead, killed when we orb'd those trucks carrying his servers.

 

The keychain Avon had around his neck with the Cliffford base code, (the master copy of Cliffford that Doomsday Cliffford (v1.3) would've been a copy of) was never found in the wreckage of Avon's Thruster, so either we obliterated the keychain... or someone, or something, picked it up and has another Cliffford v1.0 ready to go.

 

That and canonically his mercenaries are still out there given the Casino Heist Laser Drill Setup... (with a mind of their own or reverted to the next highest authority, that we don't know).

so this whole cops vs crooks idea has come from Yan's "arrested" remark on twitter, right?

 

what if by "arrested" he means that the basic "busted" feature is finally coming to online, maybe as a minor role in the dlc. and the main dlc has an entirely different theme

or maybe a major character gets "arrested" and part of the dlc is getting them free

or maybe we are finally gonna be able to purchase the police cars 

 

i don't think we will be getting a full cops themed dlc. Yes, there was cut cop themed content found in early files of the game. But i really don't see a cops themed dlc fitting into online

I could see it, simply because there would be so many cars, weapons, clothing and properties they could include for purchase.  I think our characters would be crooked cops to pull off some sort of heist or something along those lines for a lot of money or to break someone free from something.

The addition of Retinue Mk2 was a pleasant surprise, R* adding it, gives me hope that we might get more of these regular Mk2 vehicles.

 

What I had in mind in particular was adding some sport classic and super Mk2's with widebody kits; Turismo Classic Mk2, Infernus Classic Mk2 and Tempesta Mk2

 

Here is an idea for Turismo Classic Mk2:

 

I'd rather have this as a Turismo Classic Custom instead:

 

 

 

Imagine bringing your own Turismo Classic to Benny's for a full racing car conversion in the same style as an F40 LM/Competizione, complete with a buff on its performance and a place in the Supers class (which is where the Turismo Classic should have been since the beginning).

Honestly, I like to see a DLC where there's a new heist and you can do new VIP or MC contract like missions you can do from the Yacht. Need to be VIP, CEO or MC President to do those missions. I wouldn't mind spending the extra money. Payout should be around 35-45k per mission and depending how fast you are, take an average of six to eight minutes to complete.

We had crates and then bikers at 2x, then they skipped I/E to do bunkers this week... I hope they skip Smuggler's Run and do the nightclub instead.

 

Or better yet, heists get a buff.

Yeah, higher chance of diamonds as vault content would be nice. Double nightclub, holy heck would I love that!

@SpaceOdyssey69 Maybe adding widebody variants as MkII cars will make Rockstar ditch their stupid unwanted modified stock habit. If I buy a car stock, I don't want it coming with a gaudy bolt on kit. Be smart, Rockstar. Not that difficult.

Outside of a police update, what are some other possibilities? We've been waiting for a police-themed DLC for so long that I really don't believe we'll ever see one, and we don't have any concrete information outside of people analyzing everything Yan and Fun say down to the letter. I'm expecting they go all in on a larger racing update like Cunning Stunts. Maybe it'll focus on open wheel racing this time and include more cars to flesh out the class. It would be just underwhelming enough compared to Cops n' Crooks to disappoint us, but just big enough to pass as a summer update.

 

Otherwise, maybe we'll see something like IGG? We keep expecting mansions and I have my reservations, but maybe the penthouse was a trial run for that. I could see them adding what amounts to no new gameplay, and just a bunch of new cars and properties to blow our money on.

I never understood that. They like money, so you'd think the natural conclusion is to have a stock and custom version of things like the Yosemite, Hermes, Savestra etc. so they could charge double for those options.

Sure, we got the glitch for removing spoilers but it's only on a handful of cars.
