Well, standard for Independence Day;

Firework Launcher, Sovereign, Liberator, MOC Liveries and Ammo are all on discount as well as all the Independence Event Clothing being added in. It usually also brings lots of Double $ opportunities and sales on hot items.

 

This year however... ever since lockdown, the event weeks changed to much smaller, compact events, there are no BIG weeks anymore with entire shopping lists on sale to try and get players to waste money on frivolous items that'll be made redundant 2 weeks later. I reckon that whatever happens, we'll have an idea of how the event weeks will be going in general going forward.

 

Given Rockstar lightly sprinkling unique events being brought back, Snow on April Fools, Diamonds brought back merely 5 weeks after Valentines week, Peyote & Alien Survivals being brought back. The Independence Event this year could bring back the fireworks (right @Fun 2? Or are they disabled/removed on current-gen?) and MAYBE the Diamonds again?

 

I hope for;

Fleeca Job & Pacific Standard - Double $

Casino Heist - Diamonds & Staff Discounts

Business Sales, incl Nightclub Stock - Double $

Client Jobs - Double $

Casino Work - Double $

Store Hold Ups - Triple $

 

And a single paragraph teaser announcement just like Gunrunning.

To be precise, he said it is more a PC problem and he is technically correct. The fact that you are using open operating system allows much more possible manipulations than you can achieve on console. However, there are massive PC games with literally non-existing cheating like World of tanks, it all depends on how the game was designed. P2P plays massively in favor of possible manipulations (remember DNS cheats from Xbox?) and combined with PC it's a disaster waiting to happen.

 

GTAO wise, it is just a very bad online game per se. A lot of GTAO players are only playing one game and by trying some decent online games you will later feel insulted by the laziness of R*.

Lets hope tunables guy give us a decent event tomorrow, double crates Will be Nice along  with 3x rp and 3x chips for Agatha baker missions, double cash and rp on client jobs and triple cash and rp in overtime rumble and sumo remix.

A Discount for the vigilante Will be Nice too, since this vehicle was never in Discount before, i refuse to pay full price for a vehicle that can be blow up with 1 rpg

The only real use for the Vigilante are heists anyway. I bought it when a friend and I were doing the Doomsday Heist elite challenges.

 

Maybe you'll win a 10% Warstock discount from the casino wheel and then you can buy it. Assuming you haven't used your Lifeinvader discount yet.

I consider the discount if i get it... The lifeinvader i already used it, but really a vehicle 3 years old and never on discount sounds ridículous to me.

i have zero interest in a naval dlc if is based around the same businesses we already have. i'd be down with driveable yachts and maybe the aircraft carrier but i dont want a new business unless the approach is other than go to A kill some enemies, deliver to B, when B is full make a sell. im done with that sh*t.

1). Fireworks Via Inventory. 
2). Special Crate Drops in public lobbies (the beer hat variants). 

I have an idea for R*, though highly unlikely, It'd be great if we could get custom outfits at the podium wheel for the clothing slot. Instead of some shirt that i can't find. It'd be nice if we could win a Police outfit, Noose Outfit, Fort Zancudo Military uniform, IAA uniform, or at least a duty belt unlock via the Accessories section in the gun shop.

What happened to those fireworks from old gen that you launched them from the floor?

Iam playing since february 2016 on PC, i never was able to enjoy armored trucks, crate drops, those fireworks from the ground, damn

They came out in 2014, then Rockstar deleted them out of our inventory. Which i don't get why, that was really the 1 thing myself and friends enjoyed. Having our Motorcycle, outfits on the beach at sunset, and lighting our fireworks. That was fun! 

After that, it all became crab. The same old content is repeated. It's not fun anymore, there needs to be a lot more content added to the event. Especially, revisiting the beach and setting off our fireworks. Or taking a view on the beach, while we placed them on the yacht and set them off. 

And yes, they only kept that awful firework launcher.

I play since 2015, so i did catch some crates, but usually i didn't reach them in time, some other dude got them but i was running in a pc with low fps's so, i was in disadvantage.   The problem with the armoured trucks is that now we have an unlockable tatoo. xD

I was playing (on xbox 360) COD WAW, BO1 and of course BO2 in 2013 until i first met some (now good friends) friends of a friend playing Grand Theft Auto Five. I never got the game until the following year. (which was certainly the time for great DLC's). Summer '14 was a great time, was the Independence Day DLC. There was the cool fireworks you place on the ground and set a timer. Purchased from the Gun store along with the launcher and the musket. We never read the newswire, so we sourced on good old YT at the time for info. To our surprise, we saw those awesome special crate drops, i believe they were only beer hats, though you really had to fight to claim it! 

It'd be a great return to those who missed out! Placing Fireworks and setting the timer for 10 seconds, and getting that special crate drop! Though online would be fun with those bombers and MK2 Oppressors.....

that isn´t a mod.

bc if i know @REXX, then this is just the car being rendered in a modelling program like his character renders and not a mod bc iirc he doersn´t know how to mod vehicles into the game, and he just put the render into a screenshot of the game and put some stuff on the screen with photoshop or something.

I posted it as a kind of reference to needing more convertibles in-game (old or new). The Pfister Challenge thing is based on the PS1 "Porsche Challenge" game.

Reading this article about "the perfect art heist" made me think, what if we got a Kortz Center heist?

 

We all know this place is based on the IRL Getty Center, and even the GTA Wiki briefly mentions the exhibits inside

 

 

So what if this was presented by Lester or maybe a crooked art collector contact who's after a new collection of artwork/artifacts, and we have two approaches of either stealing the artwork/artifacts or taking a "Hack the Money, Leave the Painting" type of approach.

 

Perhaps having to do one of those classic "Laser security" scenes from the movies to get past security:

Probably discounts on select liveries for 4th of July. MOC and MK.II weapons, for example.

3× on casino FR missions would be sweet, I love those little missions. 

 

As for a heist at Kortz, only if it's an Alien War heist. The Getty has a vast underground tunnel and bunker system where elites and our reptilian overlords run the entire west coast... or so I've heard.
