Bottom line: what Rockstar is doing atm to be delaying the Newswire, the Tweet on twitter are all very disappointing. No new information on the DLC and that enflames the hatred/disappointment. They gotta say something or else they're not gonna strive and thrive off their games at the moment (For GTA Online and RD Online)

Perhaps. Idk I just think people are thinking too much of it, thinking a DLC is cancelled just because they change one sentence in the newswire. Many other games have released major updates recently so Rockstar could do the same. I think we'll get some information soon.

My point is that usual workflow is gone, non-existent. These other companies could have released things that were ready for months and just scheduled to be released. I'm not a game dev insider by any means, but a lot of industries are hit hard.

Anyone can think that a supposedly cops dlc was delayed or cancelled in their mind of course, but me prefer facts and tangible things, so as no cops dlc was ever announced by Rockstar, saying that was cancelled is nonsense, just My humble opinion

The LSPD never tried taking our players in so our characters relentlessly gunning down criminals makes sense(Especially when said criminals are rival criminals). And it's certainly a better PvP mode than GTA Battle Royale, DMs that are full of pussies constantly rolling around like they're Sonic the Hedgehog, or any of that Arena War garbage. A mode where it's just 'cops' and 'criminals' with limited weaponry and absolutely no meme vehicles/OP sh*t sounds fun af! PvP is incredibly boring in this game

 

And don't even try "jUsT pLaY gTa Iv!" you can't. It's basically overrun with modders nowadays that will crash your game, and not a whole lot of people playing either apart from them.

Btw regarding the newswire post.

 

R* included the part "keep an eye out for future bonuses....." in the Twitch prime section.

 

They even emphasise "for those players who missed out" 

 

This tells me that has nothing to do regarding updates. They just meant to look out for more twitch prime bonuses.

 

Of course, this doesn't explain why they removed the "update" part.

 

IMO, it either means we getting something soon or nothing for a long time.

Oh, btw, a QoL update is way overdue, even more when GTAO is making the jump to next gen.

 

We can deal with all the broken, overpowered bullsh*t because GTAO has basically zero competition, next gen though? I don't think that people wil choose Grief Tryhard Oppressor V over actually well made new games.

 

Let this game die with a last hurrah and fix your damn game already R*.

The reason they didn’t add the NOOSE outfit is because all the other outfits are high-poly whilst the NOOSE one is a low-poly NPC outfit. All the other outfits are the ones used in the singleplayer heists, and thus have high-poly player character models. They just modified the NPC model to work on player character bones. 

Just because they didn’t make it available to purchase isn’t proof they’re holding it back for a future DLC, just proof that it didn’t fit their anal-retentive quality control for clothing.

Technically speaking, it's already possible for Rockstar to feature any vehicle on the podium list, but they list all the vehicles meant to be featured on the podium because there's a certain value in the native function that attaches the vehicle to the podium that differ from one vehicle to another.

You believe that the dlc is still going to come in July? Bcz...if all the cars were to be released before the next update, then it will ast until 6th of August. But, since they have the S80-RR in the list but never came to the podium, i think that can mean that it doesn't need to affect the release date of the new dlc.

if we get a 'filler' update as some have suggested, I'd love to see more stunt races for compacts, sedans, and coupes. Rockstar'd probably feel obligated to have more super, sport, muscle and motorcycle races too and I don't have a problem with that. I personally really enjoyed the original Cunning Stunts DLC(Stunning Cunts) and I'd like to see more racing style vehicles added too.

I only say this because every time I join the race from that marker near Del Perro Heights and I'm on call. The lobby has no less than 10 players but that is an outlier. Normally it's full(16) and a rowdy spin out frenzy with catch-up and slipstream on. Is it more enjoyable to have those both off... Of course but then you have to deal with people: driving the opposite direction, sitting sideways across a ramp or boost because nobody does no contact unless the host is a top tier racer. So I've just learned to take it as inevitable that people will be jerks. So now I race dirty and I'm having more actual fun playing this game than I ever have. I'm not grinding like I've done in the past (still may from time to time if someone may like some help) and I'm not glitching. Mainly racing the original stunt races and I'm probably in the top 5 so that's not too bad.

 

I guess my question is, would a Cunning Stunts part 2 be a possibility for a filler update?

I just wish Rockstar would just give me the metal paint colors because nobody does rally races and if you do please message me at my xbox gamertag: JOEsAGGRESSIVE

Usually the podium vehicle fits the theme of an event week (not always of course), and I don't think event weeks are planned months in advance, at least not down to the details like the podium vehicle.

Actually online clothing is not much more detailed than the NPC character clothing.

SP outfits are much more detailed.

And iirc the outfits we got that appeared in SP too, have the same polycount as the NPCs when they have them.

Like the gruppe sechs outfit.

They even scale outfits down when they take them from SP.

Like for example the epsilon robe.

It's texture is identical to Michaels in story mode, but scaled down to half the resolution.

 

And if the noose outfit would have been too bad so it didn't fit their quality control, they would have just scrapped it.

Even if the DLC in development was Cops 'n' Crooks and current events have dissuaded Rockstar from releasing it, what's stopping them from changing the theme to Vigilantes 'n' Villains, while keeping all the core mechanics and pushing any actual police stuff into the dripfeed? Things should have cooled down by November, so you can get your cop car then.

the name cops n crooks is part of gta, so it wont surprise me if they use it(if this dlc is even real)

If C&C has been worked on and is sought-after (which at least in GTA4 terms it would be - who knows how Rockstar would foul it up for GTA:O though), but obviously it can't / wouldn't be released at the moment... do you think there's anything that would stop R* / T2 from shelving that DLC for a year or two, and have it as one of the first DLCs available for GTAnextgen? Would be an appealing prospect. 

 

As for a filler DLC, I'm on-board with @JOEsAGGRESSIVE idea of a Cunning Stunts 2.0 - with some new vehicles, some new props (and an updated creator, maybe including RC races and OWR?) and probably some reskinned new clothing. Hell, let us make AW races outside of the arena for some AP instead of RP or something. Technically that would be an easy thing to release.

I noticed a change. For almost a year now, the payment for completing 28 days worth of daily objectives was broken on PC. You would just get the RP and a big Transaction Failed screen, and only get the money (if you were lucky) if you made a ticket on the support website. Well, it's not broken anymore! I completed another 28 days today and got my money and RP instantly.

 

The same bug occurred when the Bandito time trial was doubled and when Arena Wars was tripled (for anything that went on longer than 2 rounds). It could be that those things work properly too now, but I haven't got a way of testing this. Either way, hooray!
