Well if that's the case, then Rockstar will have less time than normal to gain revenue from this next DLC with schools and workplaces opening up across the globe even if some people's summer holidays are "delayed".

 

I don't really see them releasing the DLC as late as August. August isn't really "summer" as much as July feels/is.

Very true, but i still see that as something different, imho the RCV is a pretty limited vehicle compared to the lifeguard ranger, RCV only goes in facility (i think? maybe arena garage too but none of the others for sure) and you kinda need multiple players to enjoy it (water cannons and all) where as the lifeguard ranger can go in any garage and (since it has no mounted anything) you can get the max out of it by yourself, no other players needed ^^

True, even weirder, the unmarked cop clothes are still on some sort of secondary blacklist too, if you try save an outfit with them it just vanishes (like with the garbage-crew outfits)

Still no news I see.... Guessing a late July or August DLC release. The streach from the Winter DLC to the Summer DLC is always the worst.

What i mostly like about the lifeguard truck and bugstar van as they are in the game now is that they are sort of a drop-in replacement for hearses, used to give those away every chance i could (used to be only obtainable if you'd drive a hearse to the cemetery) now i use bugstar van and lifeguard ranger to spawn more of those (at dock and at beach) and give those to people instead, like anybody's gonna pay 500-800k for those joke vehicles lol, and its funny (when i offer these vehicles in chat) to have half the session race to me because they think i can spawn them storable cars of any kind xD (downside, R* sorta knows this trick since a few days after dlc released, so the vehicles you can steal are like 100k to insure now lol, still only a 5th/8th of normal price ^^)

Thanks for the info , i was planning Buy a second komoda to make a SPORT versión with livery, i Guess i'll wait for free one, My actual komoda is Cabernet wine, such a fine car

After x3 bunker and x2 RP (only) on special cargo sales, nothing surprises me anymore.

 

I still predict speculate the S80RR will make the podium on July 23rd, the anniversary of the casino opening.

Well, looks like we got 4 confirmed weeks of vehicles until the DLC on the 23rd. If they add the V-STR and S80RR during the weeks of July, it's gonna be known that they delayed it.

Excuse my possible ignorance in asking something that could be a dumb question/statement....

Does the adding of extra podium vehicles actually equal a delay in any potential DLC? Surely having the podium and wheel in the Casino would mean that they would continue adding vehicles to the list regardless, otherwise it would just be a dead feature?

God rockstar is so full of sh*t if the dlc is actually canceled. And if it is canceled you know what that tells me? That it probably was a cops dlc in some way, shape or form. I couldn’t care less about the uproar that would cause. The game is controversial to begin with who cares if they make it a little more controversial.

There’s a reason people are saying “if the dlc is delayed” or “if the DLC is canceled” quite frankly I’m leaning more towards the DLC being canceled after last nights newswire.

I dont understand how its even logical saying the DLC was cancelled when they haven't announced anything relating to a DLC at all. You can't cancel something that doesn't exist. And this is Rockstar and Take Two. You think they are going to skip an update on their cash cow? That's just not gonna happen.

Maybe they've finally exhausted their "contingency plan list" of vehicles and now have to cycle back to the very start of the Casino Heist list entirely. The fact there's only 2 been added is does have a silver lining... at least it wasn't something ridiculous like 20 vehicles... for now...

On the other hand... "quality reasons" can mean many things in the world of corporate business.

 

Take Two like profit, but they have people more important than their customers or the news media to keep happy, put simply;

- acts of morality like cancelling a product weeks before release, screwing over the shareholders 100% at the last second is corporate suicide.

- acting moral is the way to gain unconditional good PR in the corporate world, that way when the outrage comes, that good PR will act as a buffer so that the aftermath will leave them in the original position rather than a worse one.

Why are we talking about day X info wil drop? Arena Wars info came a day before it's release. And due this times of uncertanty i  relly believe they will just do the same.

If there was a C&C DLC and it was cancelled, then good stuff IMO. That theme seems like it would potentially introduce some truly cancerous gameplay mechanics like arresting and or interfering in other players FR business. Whatever cars were planned to release with C&C will still be released with whatever the next update is and that's all I care about TBH.

 

An alien DLC would makes sense because aliens have been a significant theme throughout V/GTAO's lifespan. Many people would still love a conclusion to all of the mystery related Easter eggs and aliens would be the next logical step after the DH. I don't care if we get a UFO (though I'd totally buy one, but would prefer it be a final EE for single player TBH). Mostly I just want a bow put on the alien stuff from SP/Gunrunning dlc. Would take that over just about anything except Midnight Club or a sequel to GR/SR with more classic aircraft, guns and hangar space.

- SWAT outfits (these didnt exist before, swat cops all share a model, its not an outfit, but these new swat clothes are an actual outfit, but its only usable in missions & its the only mission outfit you cant unlock, why? holding it back for a later update?)
- Cop clothes can suddenly be bought at stores (but lacking the accessoires: badge hat etc, but we literally got the EXACT shirt and pants, same models and textures)
- We can now own a vehicle with a working siren (lifeguard ranger) traffic responds to it like they respond to cop sirens.

 

None of that means Cops & Crooks.

 

All of those outfits were either added to suit the narrative of the casino heists or already existed so were easy to add.

Likewise for the lifeguard truck.

 

Talk of DLC being "cancelled" is a bit odd, given that it was never promised/announced in the first place.

 

Are there still unreleased missions ? Gerald ones IIRC ? maybe we'll get those at some point. I don't think we'll get a Casino size update if we get anything.

Wouldn't be surprised if in December they start hinting or giving some insight for new content that will be in the spin off - a new contact/game mode maybe to tempt you in to the new version.

Given that they're 2 for 2 with the success of Casino DLC's and the records they broke, if they did it a third time, even Tom Connors would be worried ny the amount of champagne they'd be ordering. Repeating the marketing strategy of; "Announce the next big update 12 hours before release" isn't something I could imagine them repeating at this point, they'll want hype, which can't happen when half the world is asleep between announcement and release.

 

As for Day X for info, Rockstar always make a song and dance during Independence Day Week. And I can't imagine them discussing GTA V Next Next Gen again before announcing the next GTA Online DLC.

That's a bit contradictory too, isn't it? Since there is no confirmation that the DLC was planned, our only baseline is the previous performance. Well, throw it out of the window now. Pandemic changes everything and it is serious. I work in research, and our entire institution was literally paralyzed for good 2 months without couple of days. A lot of journals were not accepting new articles for March and April because of editing, distribution and even publishing issues. Energy part of our institution suffered enormously thanks to 2 girls who got back from Lombardia which effectively locked down the facilities. 2020-21 fellows will not be allowed to live on the premises until the special order. And we're small time org with extremely effective remote work protocols.

 

Unless the DLC was already close to get released before the damage was taken, we should not expect anything serious, maybe a filler on par with '14 updates.
