I dunno, I think the animals in GTA single player are pretty pointless. They're just critters you run over once in a while. Far from a must IMO.

It's not A MUST, but, it's something that entertain...you can hunt them (ok...not a pretty thing, but, it's a game, ok?), or just search for them to take some pics, or make a challenge with friends to see if they can survive in the forest and going to chilliad without being klled by a montain lion, etc. The must ironic is that i already saw a couple of times hackers pulling npc animals...so, why not R* didn't have done that so far? I guess they will (at least should) implement somethings that are in SP and doesn't make too much sense not being in Online, like some other gangs like triads and armenians not spawning in online. (or bicycle helmets that for some f*cked up reason aren't present aswell).

I agree they are kinda useless, but they add a lot of detail along with all the other things they remove, like benches, trash cans, tables etc.  maybe make it so we can have them as pets (like chop) and they could kinda be useful.  I wouldn’t mind to able to go to Blaine county and shoot a deer either, lol.  I know it’s never going to happen.

Did they nerf the oppr mk2?  I was playing earlier and it wouldn’t lock on to a damn thing and when it got destroyed the mmi coverage was only $2,000.  Yes, I was trying to troll and it wouldn’t work lmao.

Yes, but not in free mode per say, like the ballas and vagos just gathered in their turf. You only see triads, armenians, etc., in missions.

 

Oh man...idk, just to put nostalgia here, but as soon i said gang turf i remembered gta 3 where at the end of the game you just couldn't be driving almost anywhere, bcz 95% of the gangs became enemies of you and would shot at sight. Leone turf as the most problematic one, with their shotguns 2 shots and your car would exploded.

You have to take into account that people who already own this game, aren't their only target audience. One of the main reasons it is still selling so well, is because there is an everpresent stream of buyers who wouldn't have previously had access to it because of their age, and that won't change when the next gen consoles arrive.

Just for clarification, this is the current podium list

3 New vehicles

- Apocalypse Deathbike

- Scarmjet

- Sovereign

3 Old vehicles (Been on the list for a long time, unlikely to be released since Rockstar keep adding new ones)

- R88

- S80RR

- V-STR

I think Rockstar will add more vehicles to the list this Thursday or the next one.

I keep seeing people mention things that there are only X vehicles on the list so an update must be X weeks away, yet Rockstar have repeatedly added vehicles to the list. Rockstar could just add vehicles to it any minute without it meaning anything right?

Well it's because it's some metric for us to estimate when an update could release. However it isn't a good one because like you said, Rockstar can just add vehicles. But hey, it's at least something for us to speculate about.

 

EDIT: It's also nice to see what's next on the podium.

It's not really important. FWIW there was only the S80RR left on the list when the casino heist DLC was released.

 

But this thread is also where the weekly tuneables update and related info gets discussed. I guess those could each be their separate threads. But this is kinda the catch-all for anything "update" related.

Not only that, I came up with that number assuming you win 300 points each match aka score first place.

Also, each match must have 10 players or more, otherwise you will earn less than that.

You can increase the amount of points by playing with friends, playing consecutive events and winning consecutive events (big boost), which should decrease the amount of matches to reach the level you want.
