Algonquin Assassin
https://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2009/12/18/take-two-frustrated-by-gta-expansion-sales.aspx Two things contributed to EFLC's sales being below expectations. 1) Being an Xbox 60 exclusive originally (Admittedly this is more of my opinion, but it's still reasonable that sales figures would've been hurt by only releasing on one platform at the start). The PS3 and PC versions didn't release until 2010 almost 2 years after GTA IV. 2) Being released too far from GTA IV when hype started wearing off and interest was declining. If EFLC was released 6 months after GTA IV on all platforms it would've be a bigger financial hit. Still it's often considered some of the best examples of DLC in gaming, but this flop (if you could even call it that) is one of the reasons we don't have DLC for GTA V and RDR2 because R* see more money in the online components of those games and I guess they just don't see it's worth spending all that time and resources on high quality DLC if there's no guarantee of a decent profit return. It's a shame that EFLC sold so poorly because it's really fantastic. Then again there are crap games that manage to sell millions and millions so not all is lost. GTA Online become so successful so I see no return to SP DLC. I would make the same choice as Rockstar did and collect all the profits. But yeah this thread is about EFLC so let's get back on that. For example I would have made the Doomsday Heist single-player and multiplayer. I would have remastered GTA4 the year after gta5 was released on ps4, and so added Liberty City to online. and GTA6 would already be out. I would even have another Rockstar studio make a "GTA London" while developping GTA7 for PS5. taking example of Ubisoft with assassin's creed. But no Revelations, Rogues or Unities.
