The Made Man
Mods feel free to lock thread if you feel its not necessary. But yea I posted this video in the speculations thread but I would LOVE weather to look like this in the next GTA game. And iirc Sam Houser spoke about how he wanted extreme weather or something of that nature. Of course this is the Unreal Engine and Rockstar uses different one. But still if the game takes place in Vice City(Miami) which has lots of hurricanes and the next GTA is next gen then oh man.... I would love to see something like this. Jabalous
I wish that we can see such severe storms with the same level of effects on trees and flying debris. It looks reasonably believable, but I don't know if it's feasible for a Grand Theft Auto game technology wise. Maybe someone with the needed background can explain how possible it's for a dynamic weather system. Kirsty
Weather has been drastically improved for RDR2, I can only just imagine what GTA 6 can do on upcoming new-gen consoles. Algonquin Assassin, MaccerKuntPaul, Patrizio and 5 others
ROCKSTAR MANIC
If its back to VC. We better see the sunshine yellow and orange, with the light blue on top slowly fading. In the sunsets, the pastels and shades of pink, purple ,blue, teal. OREOBOREALIS, Patrizio, Eugene H. Krabs and 6 others
Middle Class Roadman
The sand storm in the desert in RDR2 was pretty impressive the first time I experienced it and was certainly an example of them playing around with weather events. So yeah I'd expect them to include more of that going forward. However I just hope they give us the chance to have some sort of control over the weather in the setting. Especially if the game is set in a warmer climate region, I don't want it to be raining every 5 minutes like how it does in Lemoyne and New Austin. Just few things we know Rockstar is working on. Please tell whats wrong with having SOME control over the amount of rain fall. In RDR2 It rains too much in areas that are meant to have a warmer/drier climate. We should be able to change how often rain fall occurs.
Kris194
No, we shouldn't. Weather and overall climate is awfully important part of creating believable world. It affects vegetation and so on. I'm sure, that it will be huge, huge focus when it comes to GTA VI. 16 hours ago, WatchTheThrone said: Maybe for a specific mission but not everyday. There is nothing believable about it raining every 5 minutes in the desert.

My thoughts exactly. I have the utmost confident in the RAGE. RDR2 was quite literally unbelievable to look at. Looking forward to the Florida weather and ray tracing flexibility of next gen. With next-gen capabilities even sunny weather will be enough to blow people away. Next-gen consoles are such a powerhouse, especially XSX. Things like storm etc will be just cherry on top of best cake you've ever seen.
