That's where the account bans are coming from, people that did the glitch again after being warned.

 

Overall I agree, the reason cheating is so rampant is Rockstar's fault and they need to either fix the game, or make sure it doesn't happen in GTA6.

today i entered gtao to check on things and got a blackscreen for like 5 seconds then it loaded me into the session, not gonna lie it scared me, i didnt glitch but mistakes can happen but its all good on my end.

 

those that got wiped well what can i say, next time stick to the "safer" money making method that is duping, build up your wealth to atleast 150-200 million and you should be set for a very long time.

R* were too soft for way too long and they pretty much allowed glitching to get to the level they are today.

 

im sure money glitching wont be so rampant have R* put the foot down since the early days and outright ban/reset offenders but that wasnt the case.

 

one thing they could implement its making so that if you got moneywipe, all your vehicles purchased from X date up to the moment the wipe was handed become unsellable, that way they will not only take away the money but also kill "the bonds" people buy.

 

they did this back in 2014 after the glorious hookers glitch, while my money was never removed, all the adder bonds i bought were unsellable for a very long time, eventually like a year or so later they became sellable again and i was able to cash in them bonds but i think this could work nowadays.

Haven't been able to be on PS4 in over a month but checked my Social Club and all my money still seems to be there, even though the 'cash' amount says zero unless I actually click it

 

Seems like they only wiped people who did the glitch

Yeah they're known to take legit players money too but that's mainly on PC where players get a false positive money wipe or account reset whereas modders walk away free. Haven't heard a case of a legit player's money getting wiped on console unless there's a glitch with the Rockstar servers that causes it.

True, He/She's probably a bit upset right now lol. However, they can't say the weren't warned.

i can totally relate to person, when you glitch its a gamble, you may win and nothing happens or you can lose and the house keeps everything you own, it gotta suck.

 

in my case, i stopped a while ago because it will suck to have my special items(like 400 items) i have collected since launch deleted by R*

That's why I never touch glitches like this or the Lester plane glitch on my main account. I only use to dupe cars a while ago on my main account but even stopped that when I bought everything I wanted and am able to make enough for new dlcs since they are only twice a year now. Honestly I don't really care if I lost any of my accounts because I would have stopped playing years ago since I hate doing the same few things everytime I play. What's the point in grinding VIP work and I/E everyday to buy cars when all you use for that is a Buzzard, Cargobob and Oppressor MK2.

I’ve been playing video games much more than usual in lockdown. I only play 3 games. This, red dead and dayZ,  Normally my game play might be an hour before work, maybe an hour at night and in that time I do certain biker sales, bunker, occasional IE, cargo nightclub etc

i also do whatever’s on double or tripe cash/xp and also do my interests/hobbies stunt flying etc

 

like I said, lockdown has given me more time, but with more time than ever before. I’m making less than ever mainly due to the hoards of griefers that seem to be everywhere of late. Public sale mission, a rt weeks worth of cocaine. Blown up by some nob on a mk2, bunker sale the same. And all this has coincided with every Tom, dick and Harry glitching billions??

 

i don’t have a problem with folk glitching to ease the boredom, don’t have a problem with people buying shark cards (cos the more money rockstar make the more detail V1 will have)

 

but if glitchers are so rich that the game no longer has purpose other than to destroy the efforts of non glitchers, then they need culling, and if they threaten to leave the game entirely.... close door on your way out

Im level 112 and dont think ive ever had more than 2 million lol.

Too easy to waste it on cars and customisation.

 

I dont mind the grind but dont have the discipline to grind my way to millions!

Unfortunately that’s not how the world works...people can do whatever they like but there’s no reason they should enjoy the same benefits as someone putting the work in when they haven’t...not just my view either but the view of the makers of the game.

The only acceptable glitches are ones that offer no monetary advantage or advantage over other players.

As you mentioned you mess with other players minding their own business...this doesn’t juxtapose your playstyle as you don’t need to make money to play the game and are afforded this luxury of time...I am too busy making money to worry about making someone annoyed.

Nope that has been happening since crates first came out years ago. I have sold my bunker, nightclub and I/E vehicles probably 10 times in the past week in full lobbies and it isn't any worse than it was 6 months ago. It isn't only glitchers that destroy cargo grinders and casual players do as well. Getting a jet cost from the military base cost 5k to get Lester to turn a blind eye and can be done by anyone. I also had a friend (not a friend anymore) that would spend 95% of his time in public lobbies griefing people and destoying cargo and never glitched a single dollar but use to buy sharkcards every week. Every single session I have been in since July 14th 2018 has had 5+ MK2s flying around. A lot of people would have grinded or bought sharkcards to get the MK2 it isn't so hard to get that only glitchers have them.

I can see your point...I hate shark cards too and tbh I think they shouldn’t but ultimately they’re better than the glitchers in my book...in a sense they like glitchers tend to not have the knowledge of how to efficiently make money though.

 

At the end of the day shark cards are how people justify glitching but I’ve never bought one and earned 1.3bn in this game so the arguments don’t hold for me.

There's several people on this forum that says they go after other players cargo but they don't glitch money.. 

 

I have several people on my friend list that dupe cars just so they don't have to spend crazy amount of time grinding in this game so they can buy the things they want. They don't destroy other people's cargo and doesn't fight to much in freeroam either, they're mostly interested in racing and some deathmatch. They don't go over bord with the glitching either, think most of them stay well under $100 million in their account..

I played Forza Horizon 3 for years and was 100% legit grinding out the goliath race for probably close to 10 hours every week for months to get credits for cars, level up and get wheelspins for rare cars and credits and in the end I got to level 600ish. There was a glitch at the start of the game that gave an insane amout of XP for grinding up against a wall and got people to level 1000 and gave 1000 wheelspins which in turn gave them millions of credits plus rare cars that sold for millions. I earned everything legit by putting in 5 - 6 hours a day and doing the same race 100+ times but I really did not care that people got so much more than me for doing nothing because I found it fun to do the same race over and over again and I know that not everyone enjoys doing that. As long as no one has an advantage over me for cheating I do not care what people do because it just does not affect me.

People do that without glitching as well though. Every griefer will know that if you start a VIP job you don't have to pay insurance or get bad sport points for destroying PV and every griefer that isn't a glitcher will have all their money stored on their second character to avoid paying insurance. If there was 0 money glitches in this game there would still be a lot of griefers. I can't even count the amount of times I've had someone destroy my cargo or come after me to kill me and then see them later on selling their bunker, MC business, nightclub or an I/E vehicle.

What's funny is one of my go-to activities now is what I used to do as a low-level: Play headhunter only with a (favorite) motorcycle and Micro SMG / Heavy Revolver / Sticky Bombs. Although now I'm a lot better at it.

I did the Double-Action Revolver one in Chopper Tail (mission without wanted level) on a dirt bike riding along Vespucci Beach. The Navy Revolver I did very slowly over time because I didn't really need the money at that point.
