Has anyone been able to determine why some people got their money wiped yet most others had their accounts reset?

I’m afraid you’d be fighting a losing battle as reason is not on your side...I am unsure how playing the game and not cheating or giving a free pass to those that do is petty...I guess you need to be enabled and not challenged.

I have many many issues with Rockstar and am far from being an arsekisser...I hate sharkcards too but I’m sorry if you glitch money you are the lowest of the low...beneath people buying sharkcards and encouraging the pay to win mentality.

Me? I play the game and help others and own everything...hurling straight up truth your way must be akin to forcing you to look in the mirror and I’m sorry if that hurts but it is what it is.

I Send Them All screenshots with ID & Money wipe To [email protected] & they replied by a message saying that they will not read my message thats because its an automatic messages they sent it to eveyone do you have an email for them so I can send them My gamer Tag with my 3 billions money also i have that on 3 other accounts one of them have 25 Trilions Its so weird they didnt ban or money wipe my 3 accounts also they didnt money wipe or ban all my 18 friends thats so weird maybe because they are lazy they just did that to a certain number of people only while other are enjoying the money mmm ....

Its random its a computer by luck some people get money wiped , some got reset but me and my 18 friends still have billions and trillions

I'm not against Rockstar on all this, I do agree with them. What I don't get is why you are wishing for another severe punishment, it would have been better to wish the people who have done it would take it as a very serious warning and not do it again, because there's another group who's much worse than glitchers, the cheaters.

Well, whether a severe punishment is needed depends on the glitch, gaining millions upon millions is taking it too far which is why a complete character wipe is needed.

I never actually looked into how the Casino Chips Freeze glitch actually worked until just now, I gotta say.

 

The idea that there's players out there who did the Locate a Plane Refund glitch from a while back, and got mad when they got their bank wiped... only to do this glitch and thinking history wouldn't repeat itself, despite the fact they could glitch money at a rate over 100x faster than Locate a Plane? Not even Heist Randoms are that uncoupled from their own sanity.

That pretty weird that its random and really unfair, some people would get reset while others would only receive a money wipe...a money wipe would be completely reasonable based on the amounts of money being made especially since the person should have prepared by buying Protos or whatever of the current most expensive car and filling an office garage.

 

A complete wipe on console players is ridiculous for a game that is so old and seemingly at the end of the its road...and considering if you do not want to play on PC and be subjected to mod menu tom foolery.  A complete wipe should reserved for mod menu abusers. Definitely, is not a good sign of the future of GTAO and R* for that matter.

Imagine if they would of done this in 2013 and scared people to begin with, instead of waiting over 6.5 years of exploits before actually doing something. Even though this game has had more holes when it comes to cheating than every golfcourse in every gta combined lol This as usual is unfair as only a percentage of people got reset, not everyone. Just like the time they reset those character transfers but only to those account made during a certain point.

Give it a few days, I don't think money wipes are a one and done deal. Take a look at when people receive Log-In during a certain timeframe bonus cash, some people don't get their hands on it until the very last day of the "payout window", others get it right on the very first day.

Well this thread is derailing into a royal sh*t show. 

 

Wanna play legit? Fine

 

Wanna play "legit" and while you still partake in businesses and grind as intended but use well known workarounds to get a solo public session? Fine

 

Wanna bypass the grind and partake in one of the many financially beneficial game bugs, exploits or glitches because this game's code is so frail with six and a half years of code piled onto an already frail online code? Fine, but don't get stupid and greedy about it. 

 

I've played both sides of this argument, I've played businesses and probably made over a hundred million collectively from MC businesses, crates, Import Export, bunker stuff and put up with the ever increasing prices and ever more soul crushing tedium of delivering things in slower than molasses defenseless vehicles. Not to mention how many contact missions I did. I've also more recently glitched. Do I feel like my stuff that was purchased with shady money is any more meaningless to me? No. Am i an ass wipe to others in free roam because I'm "bored with little else to do"? No.

To go from 1500 to 18 is a bit of a stretch though, lol, plus you've gone from large font rants wanting to see this fixed and players wiped/banned to now looking to boast about your billions while now having sympathy for those that did get the wipe/ban you wanted to happen.

 

Just seems weird to me, lol. 

 

Don't get me wrong, I don't really care about people that do glitch a bit of cash, that's R*'s problem as they're poor in this area for consistency and have been since launch, with RDRO seemingly showing the same. But much like Fun2 said above, there are worse than that in this game, like the mod menu abuses that have had too much of a free pass in the past or those that cheat to win and take the sport out of gaming for others.

 

Having access to glitched money is little different to having plenty of spare cash IRL to buy cards and equally skip the earning and load up on toys/property. Makes no difference to me in a race or DM etc as even with those billions of glitched cash or a shark card haul, if you can't shoot or drive, the money does little to help players get good in the competitive modes I play.
