Hmm interesting.Yes, I know that you need to follow the rules, etc. But this is not suitable for everyone, especially for those who do not have friends and do not have much time to collect that money through the grind. Sometimes you want to do this to spend all the time in this game, but in addition to this, there is another life such as work, study, etc. So why can the Rockstar not understand this and not touch those who used a game bug or another method of receiving money? I think they already made enough money by selling this game and also other games too... I believe that they act unfairly with players except for the avid cheaters

Haha no I was curious as you knew the same place...We have good sushi here anyway.

Last time I was in NYC I ate in a fancy Asian fusion place in Soho...couldn’t tell you what it was called though but I had excellent snow crab

I get why folk cheat,  it’s such a slog to get the must have stuff.  Just having a mk2 oppressor and some mk2 weapons is such an effort. All the ways to make decent money require even more expense and upgrades, but none of this stuff is fresh anymore. So it’s a huge slog to the new player. When a quick glitch replaces 6 years of playing and grinding consecutive updates.

only thing I would say, is that the game itself revolves around earning money. The value of stuff is the effort it took to earn the money to buy it. But that’s the fun too.

if I became a billionaire overnight, I would go on such a huge spending spree. Buy cars I didn’t want. A yacht, fancy interiors to buisnesses. Grief in freeroam for the rest of week but the following week I’d be bored sh*tless and not bother

A part of me feels that the immense amount of hostility in free roam is what pushes low levels to want all the destruction machines available. Imagine starting as a low level now and in almost every lobby there’s someone killing you for no reason other than because they can. They have access to more things than you do and can make your playing experience a living hell unless you leave the lobby or can outgun them, but even then they can take a lot more damage than your low level character. So you might feel like you need to have those same gadgets to be even.

I personally believe that if players focused more on PvE and helping one another, the low levels may not feel as if they need those vehicles and gadgets to survive. Of course there will be players who want instant gratification and want to buy everything possible on day one, but that would be strictly a personal gain rather than something needed to not be sh*t out of luck.

As far as the businesses go, I can definitely see cheating still happening so people could afford them. Of course, it just really depends on the type of player. Some people will still want to grind for everything, some might grind and dupe or do other safer glitches to have a balance of the legit playing experience with easy money, and some people will be a legit level 500 who spends 4 hours in free roam jet griefing because that’s all they care about in GTA.

Youngsters in general lack morals, honor & work ethic. Shameful group.

Yep, not only do they cheat the game, they have the audacity to go to message boards/comment sections and brag about it like we're all supposed to be somehow impressed at their amazing ability to throw the rules out the window.

Not only that, they try to make some of us feel bad about playing the game as intended like Rockstar sonehow owes them something. Ultimately I hope they all get banned, as those people are not good for the community.

I bet 90% of them were bored from the game a week after glitching and chose to become griefers anyway. As they love to use all that cheated money making sure nobody else can make money legitimately either. It's a cycle.

GTA is an mmo with money as the main form of progression, it's literally the point of the game to build a criminal empire. The grind IS the game. If you don't like it play something else.

On the rare occasion i save 5 million,  it burns a whole in pocket big time. I don’t mind grinding but only to buy something I’ve set my heart on

The point of a successful product is that it keeps bringing money in. There are no limits. R*/Take2 don’t say “let’s only make 4 billion off GTA V and then we’ll happily start accepting a loss because we already made enough”. They count on Shark Card sales and project sales/earnings.

You either buy the Shark Cards or take the long route to get money, but when you exploit the game and earn money at a ridiculous rate, far beyond what they want to allow, you’re hurting their pockets. They don’t care about you having a job, school or a life in general; not their problem.

I agree.. I rarely go above 10 mil, and like now that's only as I have no space..

Quite often I have to clear space for a few cars and that also gives me a chunk of money towards those few cars, so I just try to keep a healthy amount although it's usually around 3-5 mil. Even when an update is imminent, I know I can't buy all the cars I want straight away cos I have nowhere to put them........

I own everything across two characters including all businesses and have 235m on hand legitimately earned...I’m married with a little girl and another one on the way and before COVID19 I was guest relations manager for a prestigious hotel...it didn’t take my “Hole” life

That's interesting, I've actually been looking into masters degree programs on both Hospitality Management & Supply Chain Management/Logsitics for when I complete my Marketing degree.

But yeah, I did all the Rooftop Rumble stuff a couple hours a night, up to 4 on the weekends over 3-4 months, then we did whatever and heists, golf, racing, etc. I was actually one of the youngest members of my crew back in those days, we had guys up into their mid 50s with prominent careers. Our oldest was 55 and a head painter at an auto body shop, our youngest was 16 and she was already doing a lot of filmography & photography work outside of her school with near daily bookings. Nobody was spending their entire lives playing games. We would all get together and just play missions and do different things while talking about our days & lives, winding down before bed; you'd hear kids or animals or bongs or spouses in the background. Just a group of friends hanging out for a couple hours each night. Some nights there was real serious or therapeutic discussion for various reasons, but most of the time it was a real laid back & chill time. GTA was my introduction to online gaming so, I can only assume it was like this for a lot of folks who ran in groups. When I later ran for brief periods with other folks, it was a lot of the same type of stuff... Nobody was ever stressed out trying to grind anything, it just accumulated while we were hanging out.

Ultimately I’ve been playing since launch and when you own everything it’s easy to save...I have a grinding routine that is modified a little depending on what’s got a bonus etc but typically it’s just bunker X2 and casino heist daily x2 with nightclub filling up over a few days...it’s easy money...I made 46m last week off special cargo too.

Just setting new money goals and try to achieve them, saving up for the new DLCs ect.. I also love cars/racing, so customizing my Itali GTO, my Krieger, or the 900r makes the whole thing worthwhile. I'm currently working on filling up my office garage, just bought my favorite car the Shelby Cobra (Mamba) and I'm going to customize that next.

Also, the last few weeks have been terrific double money. People just taking advantage of those can make a lot of money very quickly.

It might feel like a grind for people that want everything in the game the minute their character enters Los Santos, but for me it never felt like a grind because I enjoy the progression in games. I wasn't in a big hurry.

Used to play with friends and alone, made a lot of money.
Sure it was a grind sometime but you know it's good when you enjoy it.

To be honest $5M doesn't feel a lot in GTA Online. You can buy and mod like 2 supercars with that money.

It's impossible to summarize how I feel when talking to someone like you, no offence, especially as we all want the same thing, which is billions in spare cash to buy whatever we could possibly want, and naturally, for all of our friends and colleagues to be part of that too, but you can't just walk into a six-year-old game with a thriving economy and take a massive chunk for free as it undermines its very essence.

Wouldn't it be great if we could all put a couple of zeros on the end of our real-life bank accounts, right? But if you did that, the whole world would fall apart.

To be fair, I used to be much the same. Save a few bucks in case but otherwise, spend whatever comes in. But then I ran out of things to buy, lol. If R* gave me unlimited garage spaces, I'd be skint in a week!

As for motivation, stuff like heist challenges initially, I love my cars and yo race or just tune/drive around, and I like mingling and meeting new folk, and of late my son is allowed to indulge more and more so I have a great running partner at times there too.

This place is another motivator at times. It's nice to read others stories and maybe think 'oh, that's be cool to try' and I can have a bit of a competitive streak like when me and another here that have started at a similar time and we were both looking to hit rank 1000 at a simular time too, lol.

Also, awards and other unlockables can drive me, but the arena can go spit and since then I've cooled on those aspects. But I do also buy into the 'make it to the top/greed is good' theme a bit too. :)

@risefox

Yes the issue is your modded money devalues all legitimately earned money...and when you have vast swathes of currency being generated in the real world it leads to hyper inflation...expect to see that soon IRL.

If its a bit much for you to understand then it means a loaf of bread costs $100...

I was responding to your post.

You said:

“Sometimes you want to do this to spend all the time in this game, but in addition to this, there is another life such as work, study, etc. So why can the Rockstar not understand this and not touch those who used a game bug or another method of receiving money?”

Hence my response that R* doesn’t care about you not having enough time to grind in the game because your life gets in the way, they don’t want people cheating and take whatever measures they want when people do cheat.

You also said:

”I think they already made enough money by selling this game and also other games too... I believe that they act unfairly with players except for the avid cheaters”

I was responding to this saying that Take 2 and R* don’t feel like they’ve made enough money selling the game, they want to continue making more money. I was talking about Take2 / R* making 4 billion (random number) in sales in real life, I assume you’re thinking of in game money, which would explain why you mentioned “If there are no limits so why they are not patch over 2.1B? In single you cant get quadrillion.”

The "grind your life away for one vehicle"  comment sounds great in theory, but it's simply not true. I made over 50 million last week legitimately from my large crate warehouses (I had 5 large crate warehouses full and ready to go when double money started). Not to mention Rockstar has given away enough money the last few months to buy more than "1 vehicle".

Also please be more specific than just "enjoy it". Like what do you do?

Do anything the game has to offer, races deathmatches heists police chases contact missions etc. without having to worry about whether you make money or not. Sure as hell sounds a lot more fun than spending 30 hours or 185 runs doing the same few fetch quests over and over. I'm honestly just baffled as to why tf you want to spend a week grinding just to earn some virtual cash.

I loved the "they are only wiping money so it's OK to do this" logic with the Lester glitch.

I did the Import/Export car glitch years ago, made over 30 million by selling 28 cars "legit". They still haven't reset me lol. Probably never will, because that money was listed as earned from a job.

This is what happens when you try to force people buy shark cards and leave loopholes within the gameplay for people to exploit.

But the point of the game is to progress which largely revolves around money...you’re robbing yourself of the satisfaction if you just cheat.

I've got over 150 million in the bank (all the properties, businesses) and only have 40 days in online, seriously you're making this out to be much more difficult than it is.

I would almost guarantee that you're not spending your time/cheated money doing contact missions and deathmatches either but whatever you say.

It mostly accumulates over time. You start saving for a potential big sale day or the next dlc & put aside a 100k here, a 500k there on regular basis and it starts adding up.
