ooh, I normally go to a place called Ippudo and get ramen and tako yaki, going with everyone from work once we're out of this mess.

I'm kinda happy they're resetting characters too now, should be seeing less opressors for atleast a few days.

I always get Tonkotsu Ramen and a Dragon Roll...Nippon Ikazaya is my place

I like these types of threads. Activity, discussion and controversy.

Like many of us, I couldn't resist the Lester plane-locate glitch last year, rubber-banding my controller and going to bed, but uncle Rockstar wiped the excess cash from my account and also issued an on-screen WARNING MESSAGE along the lines of: you have been detected and money has been wiped, but do it again and you will be banned/reset. It was a very serious message, and I have not glitched or contemplated it for a year now, so no surprise when people are wiped/reset this year for something similar!

You do not need to glitch in GTA online to beat the game, not if you're a savvy and experienced player; I now have much more money in my bank account than I did a year ago, but no longer glitch, as well as having bought everything from the last two updates, and I don't even play that much any more.

It's great to see Rockstar taking action like this and attempting to save the in-game economy, and although I feel guilty at having glitched in the past and sympathize with people who want to enjoy everything GTA has to offer without the years of endless investing and grinding, it's nice to know that my in-game assets are still worth something.

Based on the amounts of DMs I receive on Xbox asking for money I’d say new players have no issue morally with cheating...there needs to be a connection with cheating and getting  banned put in their head from the start of their GTA experience.

So update. It is not if you have "investments" ready to resell as a few people I know have been only money wiped and now have garages full of vigilantes to sell to get back a big portion. If you are left with a "small" amount 500 million or less, you are highly likely to be wiped, not reset.

This leads me to suspect it being just the core number of money in the bank. People have had hundred of millions and up to a billion removed but any more seems to be a wipe. I have heard and checked out a specific number being 2,147,483,647 being the threshold (tested myself too) as that is the number that freezes on menus lobbies and SC. It could entirely be a number that the game counts up to but also might be a anti cheat flag.

They need to be led and taken under the wing and shown good examples mainly though.

I get why folk cheat,  it’s such a slog to get the must have stuff.  Just having a mk2 oppressor and some mk2 weapons is such an effort. All the ways to make decent money require even more expense and upgrades, but none of this stuff is fresh anymore. So it’s a huge slog to the new player. When a quick glitch replaces 6 years of playing and grinding consecutive updates.

only thing I would say, is that the game itself revolves around earning money. The value of stuff is the effort it took to earn the money to buy it. But that’s the fun too.

if I became a billionaire overnight, I would go on such a huge spending spree. Buy cars I didn’t want. A yacht, fancy interiors to buisnesses. Grief in freeroam for the rest of week but the following week I’d be bored sh*tless and not bother

The game for me revolves around buying cars, modifying them, driving them around in a solo lobby, just enjoying the scenery and the engine note. That never gets boring for me.

But I don't have anywhere near the patience to grind for hundreds of hours, especially in a game that's as badly designed as GTAO imo.

If the players who grind are having fun, well good for them. They should also let others enjoy their own fun, their own way. It's not like cheaters aren't sacrificing anything. The disadvantage of grinding is that whenever you want something, even if it's just a pair of sunglasses, you'll have to work for that money. The upside is that when you acquire something, it's yours for good. No one will ever take it away. Not even Rockstar. Cheaters on the other hand, while they do get instant gratification, they must also play knowing full well that everything they have can and most likely will be taken away in an instant.

Vice city and iv+v. Most on V cause online mode... But R* they are very greedy at money in Online, no one can sit in home by grinding money 25/8 hours.... It's impossible so that's why uses some game bugs and they are patches. Rockstar wants that people waste their hole life to this game by grinding it legitmately? You gonna be kidding me

That's a decision you have to make from day one, dude, whether to play the game organically and do a bit of sneaky glitching on the side (after all, it is a crime sim), or hold back and then go full-on retard for billions later on in an attempt to catch up with the rest of us just playing the game bit by bit in our spare time, which only feels like a grind some of the time. To coin a phrase: Rome wasn't built in a day.

I own everything across two characters including all businesses and have 235m on hand legitimately earned...I’m married with a little girl and another one on the way and before COVID19 I was guest relations manager for a prestigious hotel...it didn’t take my “Hole” life

Hmm interesting.Yes, I know that you need to follow the rules, etc. But this is not suitable for everyone, especially for those who do not have friends and do not have much time to collect that money through the grind. Sometimes you want to do this to spend all the time in this game, but in addition to this, there is another life such as work, study, etc. So why can the Rockstar not understand this and not touch those who used a game bug or another method of receiving money? I think they already made enough money by selling this game and also other games too... I believe that they act unfairly with players except for the avid cheaters
