Keyboard controls won't save after changing

Whenever i remap the keys and press ESC to exit, it says that i have a critical key not bound. I have checked all the keys and they are all bound. I tried binding the phone key to Y. Doesnt work... But when i try to bind phone to a symbol, it works. I searched everywhere and tried everything I could, any help would be amazing...
