Johnny's voice in TBOGT?

i know that you can select niko's voice with simple native trainer in TBOGT since that DLC folder has access to the files for the base game. but as far as i can tell, TBOGT and TLAD folders can't access each others files. so is there a way to get johnny's voice in TBOGT? (or even luis's voice in TLAD?)

 

i know little about GTA IV modding, but zolika managed to have johnny's voice in his character switching mod for TBOGT, so i know it's possible

 

 

i'm just asking because if i want to switch a character, i don't want to go through the hassle of loading the other game. that's why it's nice that niko's voice and model is already available in EFLC, because you don't need vanilla IV to play as niko

 

if there is no solution, then i guess i will go through the hassle of loading TLAD and TBOGT seperately. or download this mod and give it a try

Zolika probably modified the e2audio.xml file to also load all TLAD audio files.

hmm.... when i tried to replace the xml file with zolika's modified file, some strange things happen...

 

TLAD's loading and menu music plays instead of TBOGT. also san juan sounds doesn't play in luis's apartment.

 

i am clueless to how to select johnny's voice in the trainer.... it seems to only allow me to pick IV and TBOGT characters. apologies, as again, i don't really know how these things work

Since Simple Native doesn't list Johnny, you'd have to get Zolika's trainer I guess.

VOILA, IT WORKED!

 

what i did was i opened e2_audio.xml in TBOGT's folder, and then added two lines at the bottom (above "</EpisodeTwo>")

 

  <speech content="ascii">e1:/pc/audio/config/ep1_speech.dat</speech>
  <wavepack content="ascii">e1:/pc/audio/sfx/EP1_SPEECH.rpf</wavepack>

then i installed zolika's trainer (the 15.0 version).

 

finally, i loaded TBOGT, opened the trainer menu, and was able to select johnny's voice. before i knew it, luis was shouting johnny quotes i was spamming in the menu.

 

i had difficulty trying to find the setting to select the pain sounds, but luckily, if you select the ig_johnny2 model from zolika's menu, johnny's voice AND pain sounds are automatically selected. it seems that zolika has programmed it this way, which i am grateful for.

 

now i just need to install johnny's walkstyle and everything will be perfect!
