Looking for good fix mods

Hello everyone, I am kinda new here and to the modding scene of GTA4. I am looking for fix mods to include in a guide I am working for now that GTAIV:CE is out so that everyone can have their game looking and feeling less like a port and more like a countiuing game, some of the fixes I would like to include in this guide are car fixes, ped/character fixes, general bugs and other issues with GTAIV and EFLC. I have aready found a fair good bit of mods which will let me start this guide up, but I was just wondering what other mods are out their for me to use in this.
Any and all help is appreacated.

NOTE: I do not, nor will ever claim I own any of these mods listed, I am only stating who makes the mods then linking them back to their respective fourm pages. if they do not have a fourm page on here, they do not get a link. please only download these mods directly from their fourm page (If they have one) or from whatever site they choose to list their mod on.

Thanks for the data, the goal of this guide is to keep everyone on the newest patch, for a few reasons, one being the use of LCPDFR and other great mods for the game which were actually updated for the latest version, so the data is nice, but that's not particularly the goal here, thanks though

first thing breaks camera, so when ur driving the car the camer shifts itself forwards backwards randomly

I think you've covered the major ones worth looking at

 

I also recommend checking out Criminal 49 mods, whilst they are not bug fixes, they are very subtle mods that enhance the experience of the game so feel free to check it out and come to your own conclusion

 

 

As for Left Shift Sprint Fix by Luluco250 has anyone managed to get this working? I would love to use it but anything other than drag and drop mods confuse me and by looks of things you need scripthook etc

Well, just loaded GTAIV, it could just be a problem with my setup, but I can't seem to get the caps lock to keep me sprinting, though I think it is just a keyboard issue. other than that it works

Honestly? I couldn't see any instructions and I've never run script mods before so don't know which files I need to make it work.

I'm just a dude that knows how to copy and paste lol.

I got as far as knowing I need scripthook and coming across a bunch of scripthook files that were out of date and crashed my game.

The instructions are on his github link which also includes his source code, I know it works as I already have something to load scripthook files, as I installed LCPDFR with all of the other mods and its working great

Update, yes the loader from LCPDFR works, but the mod itself, LCPDFR, conflicts with Left Shift Sprint, so it works, just not with another mod

So update, just learned, LCPDFR is broken, so yes the Left Shift Fix works, fine, still having issues with caps lock, but that could just be my PC. anywho it does seem that even with LCPDFR broken, the loaders from that are working just fine to load scripts, so thats a plus

Recommend this for anyone who doesn't have the game installed on a SSD as its totally worth it, less so for those who are using SSDs but probably still worth it for the effort involved

Ok good to know, especially because my game is not on an SSD
But does it help if you are using mods that cause additional loading time? like ENBs for example

I couldn't tell you as I don't use ENBs sorry, all I know is that my loading times were good before on a SSD and are even better now with the cache mod

Thanks mate, maybe ill ask once the guide is done. as I am working on a guide so most people can instal these mods, as some of the readmes aren't the easiest to understand

if there's a mod that diversifies and fixes IV's traffic, I would totally recommend it. The problem is I don't know which mod fixes that problem.

I am using the newest version of Script Hook I can find, all of the files from the LCPDFR fix and Ultimate ASI loader

Does anyone know of a good place to find HD textures (DKT70's or Lord's)?

This does as long as you implement budgeting at the expense of some vehicles not having any sounds from time to time:

thanks, and why would you need to implement budgeting, you could use trafficflow/trafficload to fix the taxi bug

And as for the files you need, ill post the links in the guide. yes the sprint fix goes into the scripts folder, everything else (the fixes from the LCPDFR fix, newest version of scripthook and UASI loader all go into the main game directory

Sometimes buildings in the distance just look awful, any way to fix this? I put on 100 view and detail distance and still didn't change

Lol - I use mods yes but I have a Vanilla copy that I tested this on and its same results, it doesn't happen all of the time I notice mainly when the weather is clear, very strange...

 

My game is the latest Steam edition.
