Will creating a new gen character delete my last gen character?

I just bought GTA on the PS4 after years of not playing the game (and occasionally checking in on my last-gen character). Before anyone shouts at me, I realise you can't transfer characters. What I'm wondering is whether I need to set up a new social club account in order to avoid deleting my last gen character. My man has so many cars and weapons and clothes and cool face tattoos that I won't be able to afford/unlock for a while.

 

 

Also, if anyone has any good resources for what to do when I create my new character, I'd appreciate the help. (e.g., How to spend money wisely; which game modes to ignore)

No it won’t. Your character is platform specific. I have one on 3, 4 and PC.

Be on the lookout for triple money and RP games. Over the past couple of months a few friends and I were able to rank up excessively and bank a far amount of cash playing games like Motorwars, Stockpile, and Arena Wars.

Your goal should be rank 120. Which unlocks most everything. And all of the weapons and vehicle upgrades.
