It is meant to be used with FirstPerson.asi which forces a really annoying First Person DashCam (while in a vehicle) in the place of the superior vanilla Over the Hood Camera. The DashCam allows the player to see only a fraction what is going on the road as compared to Over the Hood. By making the player and the car go invisible while in DashCam mode, this hack make the road visible again... You can now enjoy the FirstPerson mod without having to compromise your driving experience. Update: Version 2, now detects when Niko is in the car and makes him and the car visible again when he exits it (or is ejected in a collision). If you want to make the car/Niko visible again before exiting, you will need to press the M key. N key will resume invisibility and so on. I've included the source code for the script in the event that someone wants to improve upon it. Let me know if you do, so that I can try it out! (my email's on the ReadMe.txt) Requires: --------- Hazard's ScriptHookdotNet: http://hazardx.com/files/gta4_net_scripthook-83 Asi Loader: http://www.dev-c.com/gtaiv/asiloader/ ScriptHook: http://www.dev-c.com/gtaiv/scripthook/ Installation: ------------- copy scripts folder to your GTAIV folder Issues: --------- - FirstPerson mod over-rides head visibility (keeping Niko's head visible in the car no matter what my script does). If you accidentally switch to 3rd person car cam, you may see a floating head go down the street. It's quite funny... - when doing a driveby shooting FirstPerson mod will switch you to third person which results in a floating head with a gun. This can be fixed by setting FPDriveBy=1 in FirstPerson.ini in the GTAIV folder. - car is invisible, so you won't see it catch fire if you've damaged it so much that it's about to blow. Luckily you it's easy to check on it's condition by hitting the M key. - it would be nice if the hack activates automatically when you enter the car or dis-activates when switching to a third person car cam. Not withing my skill level. If it's within your skill level, let's collab. - your headlights go invisible with the car at night. - some of the car textures will remain visible but that will go away as soon as you start driving. Sorry, there is nothing I can do about it, it's a bug in the game. Support: see ReadMe.txt for my email Old Download (v1 - doesn't detect car exit but using one N-key to activate disactivate mod): http://www.mediafire.com/file/lb50rram5liydaz/CarVisibility.zip/file Edited May 20, 2020 by momashi
