Does instakking the game on an SSD help with the horror that is loading times

I have a 1tb HDD and 250 gb SSD, i've installed GTA Online on the HDD since its almost 100 GB, i was wondering if installing the game on the SSD would show significant improvements to the torture that is Online loading times.

No. The Online loading times come from bad Peer-to-Peer network code, it has little to do with disk speed. You have to get connected to every single player in the whole lobby and that is where the delay comes from.

The only loading times that will improve with an SSD are for starting the game, Story Mode and Invite-Only sessions. It won't help loading public sessions faster.

Yeah and Rockstar Games has done quite a lot when it comes to GTA Online's network functionality. People are often quick to jump on the "Rockstar's servers suck" bandwagon but in reality they don't - not for a free game that's received continued support for all this time at least.
Okay maybe I'm riding their dick a bit here, but honestly if you try playing on your own with the firewall rule blocking other players from playing with you, loading into a public session after already being in one or after a job takes no more than about 30-40 seconds, and if you do a job from Invite Only and load back to Invite Only, there's only a 10 second wait there - from my experiences at least.

Short answer is like above, due to the P2P connectivity, slow load times are often down to the player(s) in the session.

Okay, having over 1000 scripts in the game - some of which can be a bit complex - doesn't help either.

Yeah another massive problem on console, not sure about PC is if you have a lot of friends who run NAT tested/low MTU/firewalled lobbies. Matchmaking tries to pair you with friends and while it tries connecting with those who are avoiding other players you are getting stuck in the clouds. In fact most of the complaints I saw of stuck in the clouds came from exfriends who do that a lot and were getting disconnected mid-heist a lot. Since I cleared up the friend list its been a massive improvement. The servers are only there for backend and if they go down you get save failed message.
