TV Show ideas that would be good in GTA 6 and would entise players to watch like in GTA IV

I wouldn't mind more of the anime like shows, the ones that parody stuff like that power ranger one in GTA v or even that weird princess robot bubblegum. Maybe some parody shows where a character (ingame) pranks others or maybe some short lore related documentary style stuff (Lets say next GTA is set in San andreas again for example, a short clip about the "Vinewood Killer" or something like that just to entice discussion)

 

I liked watching the cartoons in those games. Imagine if they made a channel where it just showed random rockstar social club videos or maybe rockstar social club videos that have been made really well (like them machinima types)

Yeah. I want them to return because I love watching the tv for some down time.

 

I also wouldn't mind seeing the video games come back from San Andreas and arcade games like QUB3D in GTA IV. I've always thought it would be cool if we could play in game versions of GTA 1 and GTA 2.

I'd like a parody of some classic sitcoms from the 80s and/or 90s.

A superhero show (parody of some of the Arrowverse shows like Arrow, The Flash or Supergirl,or the MCU shows like Agents Of Shield, Daredevil or The Punisher or The Falcon And The Winter Soldier) would fit if the setting is 2010s-modern.

Maybe also have another episode of The Underbelly Of Paradise.

They should use rdr2 for one of the tv shows and make a parody of hbo Deadwood, little house on the prairie or some other western themed show.

Outside of obvious picks like Republican Space Rangers or Princess Robot Bubblegum, I'd like to see:

- a Breaking Bad/Ozark type show

- a parody of late 2010's teen dramas

- a generic emergency drama

- a Twin Peaks parody

- something mocking YouTubers/Instagram influencers who've become massive celebrities

- a Western show using RDR2 as its base

- a parody of "home improvement" type shows

- a Rick and Morty type show

- a parody of one of those long-running sitcoms that people watch thinking doing this is a personality trait

- The Science of Crime (advertised in GTA IV)

- LobotoME (that iZombie parody whose logos can be seen in GTA Online)

if set during the past:

- a music video channel

- a parody of an eighties action TV series

- a parody of WWF (which is now WWE)

- a parody of Keeping Up with the Kardashians

 

if set during the present:

- a parody of the press conferences at the White House

- a parody of YouTube channels that could be seen with a large screen TV, which would include parodies of

  Eddie Bravo talking conspiracy theories in The Joe Rogan Experience podcast,

  Neil deGrasse Tyson's StarTalk, especially with an imitation of his voice,

  the tense talking style of the economists predicting the future (and I understand why they sound tense, but sometimes I think they'd be fun to watch as parodies),

- a satire of a government whose name that wouldn't be mentioned and certain organizations with made up names that try to hide the full dangers of the pandemic. And have YouTube podcasts that criticize those government and organizations (but get accused of being conspiracy theorists).

- a parody of Kim Jong-un's and his sister's footages

I would love for them really to expand on the whole TV thing, since that's one of the things I actually enjoyed in 5 and 4. Maybe they should do a parody of Jackass or Impractical Jokers, I can totally see how they could GTA-ify it.

it's 2021 now, television and cinema are dead, here comes the age of online streaming services!

So basically, instead of the two TV stations that runs regular programming on loop, turning on the TV would open up a home screen (much like netflix or whatever) where you can choose any episodes of the ingame shows, films, or binge watch the shows as they autoplay.

plus, you can start watching from your smartphone, too!

1980s shows were notoriously corny (which is charming in its own way).

Wake up in your safehouse and watching the news adds some immersion especially if it's you that made the news.

 

Weazel news would cover big events that make national headlines in the story think CNN/Fox News and the local news channels would cover your local crimes and stuff from the city like the Police Chief complaining about crime or whatever or locally produced shows.

Parody morning shows like The Today show, Good morning America ,etc. The Onion did a great job with this lol.
