Can't Get GTA SA to work on Windows 10 1909 (closes after the GTA logo screen)

I was in the mood for some GTA SA. I have 1.00.

 

I can't get this game to load. I tried adding Silent's patch, his ASI Loader, his ddraw component.

 

Same issue.

 

The game installed here, which is where I put all those silent patch files:

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas

 

I tried to run it in XP, 7, and 98 compatibility mode as well.

 

It doesn't give me an error message or anything. It just exit out of the game after that logo screen.

 

I'm not sure if this gives any insight, but I noticed after adding the Silent files, when I launch the game, it turns off my Windows 10 "night light" color filter. No other program or game has done that before.

 

I did not see any other suggestions on here and Reddit.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Where did you get you GTA SA

The same CD I've been using for years.It's non-Steam version.

 

Last I remembered it worked on Windows 7. I believe it worked on Windows 8.1.  I cannot remember if it worked on W10 on this system before.

try installing modloader and scrlog and post the log.

There are a couple of things. First one is to try run it as an admin. The second one is that you may find a gta_sa.set file in your User Files directory. Try deleting that. Another solution that may work is lowering your screen resolution and then try to launch the game (although since the logos show up this may not be an issue but give it a try. You should lower it to 800x600 or something like that). The last thing you may want to try is right click the .exe and test for compatibility issues. Sorry but I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to Win 10.

Since my old copy wasn't working, I found a *cough* *cough* another source where it didn't require any installing. It had all the files ready to go. So that one works.
