TenAte108 Posted May 2, 2020 Share Posted May 2, 2020 we got Liberty City, Vice city, San fierro, Los santos, Las venturas, san andreas rural areas and angels pine with whestone. the question doesn't depend on which era or game (except RDR), you can also choose Carcer city and Bullworth. and please tell me why you think this town/city is the best? i prefer liberty city myself, because i played all games that were set in it, and i see that it is the perfect place for chaos and crime. From towns,my favorites are Palomino Creek and Fort Carson,they both feel like proper towns,being big enough to have a few businesses and a decent sized residential areas each.I also liked Bullworth from Bully a lot. Why? "I guess it was the weather. Or... I don't know. That thing, that magic". It just feels better and more realistic than any other city in the GTA universe. It really feels like a proper, real living megapolis. Portland feels like a normal real-life city. I don't get that feeling in any of the other games. Quiet evening streets, pedestrians rushing home or going about their business, a train approaches in the distance, someone is listening to a music, the cinema opens at night, and the vents extract the hot air. It's run down, but in a gritty way. Despite being colourful, the palette very carefully uses the blue-ish tones which created a feeling of a cold, but not frosty morning. It's just the right amount of colour before the picture and the city turns unwelcoming. And of course there is the setting. The cars, the music, the clothes fashion of the bygone golden era of 1999-2000. Love it.
