Sohan04
Hi everyone, I'm experiencing terrible aliasing in my GTA5 pc game. The distance is very blurry + I see all these jagged lines and flickering shadows. Here is a video of it happening: Idk if you can see it clearly, but it is very frustrating I've fixed the blurry lines on the ground by enabling AF x16 in Nvidia Control Panel, but the Aliasing is still there. Even on 8x MSAA, DSR 4,00x Native Res. and injecting SMAA via Reshade it is not helping. I am playing on a 24.5 inch 1080p 144hz monitor with CPU: 15-4570 3.2-3.6 GHz. GPU: GTX 1070, Ram: 16 Gb of DDR3. I've also tried to play on a 1440p monitor but the aliasing is litteraly the same. Also the fences and poles are flickering very much and you can clearly see the 'stairs'effect. I just want the textures/shadows to be sharp Any fix for this?? Thanks in advance
Rotorhead359
Have you tried 4x DSR (4k image downscaled for 1080p monitor) with 2x MSAA and in-game FXAA on? MSAA in GTA V doesn't work on everything, FXAA does. 8k MSAA is overkill, save your graphics power. The difference between off and 2x is more noticable than between 2x and 8x. GTA V uses a deferred rendering engine. Geometry is processed first, shading and lighting after that. MSAA is applied on geometry and any aliasing you get is from the shader pass after it. MSAA won't help there. FXAA works on the final image and will catch aliasing, but cause a bit of blurring. You can fix that by running 4.0x DSR. (4k on 1080p display) For distance blur, go to Graphics and make sure In-Game Depth Of Field Effects are off. I also force Anisotropic Filtering to x16 via control panel as well as having it maxed in-game.
