Game trying to restart my progress

Hello, if anyone can help me with this issue I would greatly appreciate it.

 

I have GTA Online (V) on both PC and Xbox One. My original character associated with my online account on Xbox One is rank 63 but when I bought the PC version of the game, GTA Online is trying to make me create a new character entirely. Does the data not transfer between consoles? I have linked my account and social club account, however I am not sure why it is trying to make me create a new character as if I have never played before. Story mode also started on the prologue, rather than between the missions I have already finished.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Online characters can not be transferred between platforms anymore. You'll have to start again on PC, but you keep your Xbox character on Xbox.

As for story mode, have you enabled Cloud Saves on Xbox and PC?

Thank you for the help, that's a bummer I can't transfer characters but I am not sure if I have enabled Cloud Save, I am pretty sure I did during the setup menu, unless I have to enable it somewhere else.

Honestly I didn't even know the single player savegame on a console was compatible with PC.
