AmyStone
Ok, post videos about the time you came close to death and survived in a dramatic or interesting way. Here's something that happened to me last night. It really made me jump. Red Lynx 23, netnow66, DentureDynamite and 4 others

Red Lynx 23
How I survived dynamite from a griefer, then a shootout with those npc's. Then my horse crashing into me at the end. kcole4001, Direwrath, netnow66 and 3 others 5

RyuNova
I don't have a video but I once got rammed off a cliff by the angry Deer that seems to spawn when you are near the edge, went flying, broke my back over a tree branch, flipped around it and landed on my feet. netnow66, DentureDynamite, Mark Smilie and 2 others
kcole4001
Two memorable incidents: The first was the last time the daily for rowing a boat came up, I was in Lagras for a little fishing and a rowboat glided into view, so I waited 'til it got near in a shallow bit of the channel, waded out a little, lasso'd the NPC in the boat, and hopped in. As I was just barely in the boat a gator snapped and just caught my character's leg a glancing bite, very close call! The second was yesterday as I was loading a deer on my horse in the woods around Ringneck Creek and a buck came out of nowhere with obvious intent to take me out, but something about the animation of stashing the carcass on my horse saved me from getting hammered by the charging buck, which then ran off. I promptly took a couple of shots at him, but missed due to all the trees. These buggers have rammed me off cliffs, and thoroughly stomped me from time to time. Direwrath
Deer are big butt heads in this game... Hehe.. One time I got on my horse and an bull elk came out of nowhere and rammed into my horse, the horse just reared a bit and the elk ran off leaving me there like "what the hell just happened?" Now this is what happens when I try to help people out. What makes me mad is that this was a perfect cougar, I hardly see perfect cougars anymore... DentureDynamite
^^ My (obviously wrong) assumption has been that, because they usually run when you get closer, they don't attack people--just other deer, etc. kcole4001 and netnow66

Darn things will go all fainting goat on you, play possum for a moment, and when you get close they'll lash out. They are especially vicious during the rut, and if you see one hanging about during that time it's best to leave him be and keep a huge distance between you because the crazy things lose all sense of self preservation sometimes and will charge at anything, even vehicles. kcole4001 and DentureDynamite
kcole4001
Any animal with a rack or horns can mess up your day real quick, but really most animals of any reasonable size have pretty good defensive capabilities vs humans, I have a healthy respect and give them plenty of room IRL. kcole4001
Lately I've been seeing, usually around the area between Emerald and the stable to the east, a pale whitetail buck. This is the bugger that will often charge you if you're on foot. So the last time we had the daily for 6 large carcasses donated I had spotted a nice 3 star doe this fellow was near her, so went for a shot on the doe first, and figured to take him down after he bolted as I didn't really care about the quality, just getting 2 more deer to finish off the daily (already had 4 donated). I hop off my horse on the next hilltop over and crouch to get the most steady aim, pop the doe and swing over to Mr. Buck, figuring I can hit him anywhere before he gets in the woods opposite, so don't necessarily need a headshot while he's running. He looks up, sees me, and starts charging straight at me! That made it easy to nail him right in the forehead, but his intent certainly was clear, and he had gotten half way to me, and was probably 30 ft away when he dropped. GazzaRichNUFC
If you are being attacked by wolves look for a nearby rock, they won't attack you as long as it's high enough, but they still hang around snarling, making it easy to head shot them, if i get a 3 star one i skin it and put it in the hunting wagon ready for the deadly carcass or skin donation daily.
