Yoona
Today marks 7th anniversary since Michael, Franklin and Trevor trailers released, as Rockstar kicked in the full on marketing for GTA V, which was set to release 4 months later in September of 2013. It's been 7 years and GTA VI wasn't even announced as of yet. D T
7 years man. That sh*t is scary when you really think about it. I still rewatch Michael's trailer from time to time because it's a masterclass in editing. I wish I could personally shake the hand of whoever put it together. And for anyone who wasn't around in those days, take a dive through these memorable topics. Edited April 30, 2020 by D T El Penguin Bobo
Americana
Hey, look. Franklin is such a gangster. I can't wait to play as such a real gangster in Grand Theft Auto V. Zello, Lioshenka, Nappy and 2 others 1 1
Algonquin Assassin
It's kind of funny because I loved Trevor's one when I first saw it and it got me pumped to play as him, but then he underwhelmed me a for a few years, but now it's come back around full circle. Though really all of the character trailers were really well done. Zello and iiCriminnaaL
universetwisters
I liked them all but Franklin's. Not only I hated the gangbanger lifestyle back then, but also it's one of the most lying manipulative of the trailers in hindsight. Watching that, you'd think 1/3 of the game would be all about gangin' and bangin. But nah, only like five or so missions.

Michael one also gives this false idea that he is an eager criminal trying to escape a domestic life but it ended up as him constantly complaining until finally he returns to his normal life and admits to his therapist AT THE END OF THE GAME that he likes being destructive. MarshDanni
I still remember the day these came out, I remember the Game Informer coverage, I remember the first trailer, also WHO TF rememebers those post cards?? OG's right there. Also, by far the best trailer is Micheal's, brings a tear thinking how long it's been. I wonder shall we get the same feels for GTA VI? I hope so. I liked Trevor's trailer and was excited to play as him because he was the Wild card until I actually played the game. I hate him now.
Ash_735
I remember how at the time I was against a repeat of San Andreas "Gangsta" story, and when the trailer hit @Official General went crazy boasting about how we're getting another gang banging story, ....we were both disappointed in the end. edit: Also it reminded me how much the dynamic selection of GTAV's radio was weird as hell, I rarely heard Radio Ga Ga or Ogdens Nut Gon Flake, but always heard If You Leave Me Now, Baker Street, Too Late For Goodbyes, etc Edited April 30, 2020 by Ash_735
gta7dev
Good times. The speculations were wild. I remember when the one about peds having their own life hit the scene from some news site and everyone went crazy about it. Wasn't really disappointed when it wasn't true because the game was great. At least we got a basic version of it in RDR2 but it doesn't do much for me, I don't stick around areas long enough so it doesn't matter.
TheSantader25
R* did pretty good job with the hype before the release of this game(too much of a good job that ultimately bite them in the ass). All the trailers were fantastic. I remember the hype before the release. To this date I still haven't experienced anything quite like it. I remembered watching the trailers every morning while eating breakfast and going through the screenshots every day. Waiting religiously for new info. Fun times. In the end the game was pretty damn decent as well. Can't wait to go through the same thing with the next one.
