This is to protect the community from spam and other unsolicited behaviours. After participating around the forums, these restrictions are automatically lifted. However, we've noticed a lot of topics lately from members frustrated about being unable to use the PM system, and we understand that sometimes you just need to send a message without making a post, for example if you want to join a GTA Online crew, ask someone about their topic, or get help from staff. If you feel you need to use the PM system but are unable to do so because you're a "New Member", please let us know in the private Court House subforum or in this topic and we'll see what we can do for you. You can be upgraded from New Member to Member by simply making 20 non-spammy post on threads around the forum. They want to use an image, so let them do it. How bad can it be? Now im just a new guy on this forum checked my profile settings to finally realise im not the first person who cant figure out how to change profile picture. I saw you won a medal for best debater or something along those lines, good for you mate. so you recall our last get-together in the courthouse? you remember me being banned for the 3rd time, without ever breaking a rule I might add, while in the middle of trying to discuss these very much unprecedented (at least in my view) IP bans? when I asked which rule(s) I might have broken (and got no answer) when I explained the laptop I was using is not available to use forever, when I already agreed to staying away from certain topics and not expressing my opinion there - when I was just asking for a way to continue my stay here, saying the conditions I'm given I could and would just obey to from my PC or Phone. when I admitted to mistakes in the past etc. Right now I'm back typing on a laggy PS4 causing the OS to crash every now and then. this post is already a work of at least 20 minutes, and not much has been written - but what else can I do at the moment? I expected to honestly talk the ban-situation through, thus I started that ban appeal. you were around and said something in there, then sivi joined the "chat" and not long after that I was gone, again. I really was under the impression, after talking to RedDagger about the issue beforehand, that there'd be room for discussion when doing such a ban appeal, but really there wasn't much room, if any at all. I apologize sincerely if this is not the right place to address it but you just mentioned it and I wanted to reply to that. sorry for any inconvenience. maybe if you feel that way, instead of deleting this post you could be kind and move it somewhere else instead? by now this post is a work of at least 45 minutes, twice I was close to the PS4 crashing completely, "page not responding" popped up multiple times already. let me end this here by saying that I assure you I learned my lessons - I'm not looking for and trying my best to stay out of trouble, and since I do want to continue being a part of this community I will not talk about ALL the things on my mind and keep it to myself instead, not take part of discussion in certain topics, when this is what's expected of me. at the end of the day I just wanna talk video games, that's why I joined the forum to begin with, almost a decade ago. peace out!
