Do you guys think football (soccer) will ever come back this year?

A lot have been talked about this matter, but the only thing we know is that we don't know anything. Football means a lot for the economy of some countries, which can be a decisive factor. Could we have watched the last game of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo carreers?

Probably not, definitely not in the case of Messi. As for football coming back, would have to be without public, and all the players would have to be isolated and tested. It could be organized possibly. They are working on it, but I think realistically the only league big enough to go through everything to make it safe and happen is the Premier League. I really hope it happens, as football means a lot to people, and it is really something that would be good in the current malaise.

I mentioned messi because he's probably gonna have a shorter career than Ronaldo. I think if that if some league is going to open again, all of the big 4 are going to open too. I just read that La Liga represents 1.37% of GDP of the country. Rumours are being ventilated that Bundesliga is going to be the first one.

La Liga is ruled by a corrupt idiot called Tebas who only cares about money... Not the clubs, not the players, not the fans just money. Just declare this year's league void and let's start fresh next season.

It's not a matter of will. All leagues want to reopen. It's a matter of organization mainly. It's complicated to organize it safely.

Can you tell more about him? Never heard of the guy. But it would be absolutely interesting to see Liverpool loose the title.

The problem is: it isn't even safe to be 1 meter next do someone else. And we don't even have a projection when things will be at least controlled again.

It could be safe if the players and staff are isolated and tested. But if someone would still catch it it would all be cancelled anyway. I think it's complicated logistically.

@Pedriko

Tebas is basically a businessman that only cares about himself and and what he thinks is right.

1. TV Rights renevue

Premier league:

La Liga:

As you can see here, Mr. Tebas decides that instead of doing the Premier League method so everybody can have a lot of money and sign interesting players, it's "better" to have Real Madrid and Barcelona get almost all the renevue and the rest they get sh*t.

2. Match games Schedules

Tebas insists in having matches on late hours such as 9pm, 10pm, 10:30pm so the international market can watch our league. This is quite funny beacuse let's be honest, nobody is going to watch a Leganes - Alaves anywhere but in Spain. Also, up until last year we had football matches at 10pm on Mondays, which meant that a lot of fans couldn't go to the stadium since it was to late at night and there was work tomorrow. MANY fans complained about this, but Tebas ignored and kept having this schedule until the new (Current) Spanish Football FA said that this was insane and basically told Tebas that football was meant to be played on the weekends and no more Football on monday.

3. Fans are constantly bullied by security.

- No pyro

- No flares

- No nothing....

- Expensive fines

You get the picture.

TLDR: Google= "Tebas vete ya"

Insane, absolutely insane. Nice work there, king. Would die without knowing these informationa. That's just crazy, Sevilla receive less than half that what Barcelona receives! Manipulating the hour of the game like that is bad even for the players. And yes, here in Brazil (at least me) only watches El Classico or some random Real Madrid/Barcelona game. I've seen "Tebas vete ya" stuff from 2015, is this guy handling this pressure since then?

Some Premier League clubs are resuming training this week and there's tentative plans for a June 8th restart, to hopefully get it finished by the end of July.

Unfortunately all its gonna take is a player to become infected and at that point it would likely be completely cancelled, so I'm not holding my breath it will be completed.
